Hey @bluethinker, I used the Sinope for a while going from an Aurender N30SA to a T+A SDV 3100 HV. It is one of only two USB cables I have ever loved, the second one being the Synergistic Research SRX, which does best it, but also costs considerably more. I’ve tried many USB cables, and the Sinope is amongst the best of them. I’m typically more of an AES/EBU guy, but the two cables mentioned above are exceptional. The Sinope was the first that I felt really got away from the 5VDC-generated noise and presents very naturally. The SRX does the same but at a greater level of realism. I’ve tested many other USB cables in the $1K+ range and the Sinope definitely is a great performer.
Final Touch Sinope USB?
Hi All -
I’m considering purchasing a used Final Touch Sinope USB cable.
Eventually, I’ll use it with an Innuous reclocker (not yet purchased but something I’ll upgrade to in 2025) to go along with my Innuos Zenith mkiii.
I’ve searched the forums and seen some positive mentions.
Curious if anyone can share their personal experience with the Final Touch Sinope, or even the Callisto?
Thanks in advance!
System Below
I am currently using a Revelation Audio Labs USB cable that one of my local dealers recommended. I rotate amps and speakers, but often play a Conrad Johnson Classic 120 with EL34 tubes, LTA Microzotl preamp, Merason Dac1 mkii, and Innuos ZENith mkiii server. Using a Cardas Clear and Revelation Labs ICs. Speakers are QLN Prestige 3. Power cables are a mix of Cardas Clear, Kimber and LessLoss.
I have a friend who recommends the Final Touch cables, he has several of them including the Callisto USB and ranks them highly. I had been considering trying them out but then got side tracked with Veritas Cables instead. They sound great in my system. I just got their Audax USB which is their top model. No idea how it compares to the FTA Callisto or Sinope but I am very pleased with it so far. For reference, I am also using a Zenith mark III, along with a Modwright Elyse DAC, Luxman CL-38uC SE preamp, MQ-88uC amplifier, and then the Tannoy Turnberry GR speakers. I've been slowly switching to Veritas for all of my cables and in a few months will be exclusive once I do the power and speaker cables. |
@blisshifi - Thank you for your reply. I read on the forum that AES/EBU is the way to go, but I guess my Innuos ZENith mkiii works exclusively with USB. I appreciate your thoughtful contributions on Audiogon, btw. Always feels authentic and substantive. |
