IEC 15 to IEC 15 PC?
Hey Mark — as you know, cable companies don’t offer this off the shelf, but in my experience most any of them that hand build their cables will make a custom build for you. The two brands I deal for, DH Labs and Synergistic Research, certainly wil...
Aurender
That said, I do WISH it were an option in the N50, like you do. :)

@lalitk I don’t think I was misinterpreting, and we are both on the same page. I just don’t think, in Aurender’s product strategy, it makes sense to build on the internal clock, as we know that the power supply demands for it to perform like the M...
Building Speaker Cables
DH Labs reseller here, and long time user / builder of their cables. The best results come from terminating the wire directly into connectors WITHOUT soldering them. Connector metal to wire metal in a tight crimp or screw down is all you ever need...

@lalitk I hear you on the chassis overload. Compared to everything else in high end audio, streaming and serving are still relatively new innovations, and management of noise and signal integrity are still in its formative stages. While some folks...

@oddiofyl and @audiostick, if you’re not already doing so, I’ve found that the streaming quality can be further improved by using a high quality switch and Ethernet cable upstream. In my case, many streams outperform the redbook when using the...
Adventures With Subwoofers
@ozzy It has more to do with phasing than it does with a crossover point and slope. It’s not necessarily that the subs at that combination makes frequencies that match the tinkle you’re hearing, but that some of those frequencies may intersect wit...

Good call on the clarification, George! Thanks for that.
COAX Cable Recommendations.... need some glitter
Seems I got to this thread too late. I owned an MC2 earlier in my journey, and it didn’t last. While it wasn’t bad, it wasn’t great either. Just typical run of the mill. If anything, I felt it was a bit soft and rounded. If it’s returnable after y...
Recommend an amp + pre for ESL 57s and a new turntable (way out of my league)
Whether the 303 is a good fit will depend on how much the OP wants to put into maintaining the electronics. These pieces are very old (as old as the speakers themselves) and have been known to go on the fritz if they have not been recently restore...
Raidho D2.1 Paired With Thrax Ares mk2
@kofibaffour I wouldn’t call the Sopra 2 as balanced. It is for the most part, but those beryllium tweeters can sure be sizzly. As with anything in high end audio, synergistic matching is everything. The Raidho has a gentler high frequency deliver...
Adventures With Subwoofers
Proper sub integration takes a lot of time and effort. If you are a seasoned audio aficionado and have lived long without subs, it becomes easier to understand when subs add smearing and cause issues more than help. In my experience, this is not j...
Aurender AP20 against Marantz model 10 amplifier + Marantz Link10n streamer
I have not compared them head to head, but I have heard both and can say that the AP20 is on a class of its own. Being on this forum, you may have already come across my evaluation of this unit in another thread. I am an authorized Aurender deler,...
Can I get my Prima Luna to sound more like a SET/300B?
In short, no you cannot, but you can tailor it in that direction. Something about the circuitry and transformers in the amp prohibit it from getting that smooth, and it’s hard to even get conventional tube sound out of your amp as it is very linea...
Recommend an amp + pre for ESL 57s and a new turntable (way out of my league)
Invest in good amplification first and improve your phono stage later. At your budget, I recommend looking at an integrated amp instead of separates. The ESL 57 is one of the best sounding speakers ever made so as long as you can find quality ampl...
