@nasaman thanks for your reply, yes I saw your post before and re-read it again now.
May I ask you, what was your application procedure with the MS-GCE? Because your conclusion is quite weird compared to my own experience, so I assume the application method could have differed and thus the different results.
And when you're at it, would you please shortly describe, how did you apply Q45T as well? I'm probably going to try it as well.
Many thanks 👍

@mxpwladimir OP here. I did compare side by side Mad Science liquid enhancer with the Q45T and 1260 and shared somewhere here onAgon last year.
Please LMK if still need help locating that post, I will find it and PM you. Best
@mxpwladimir
Sorry, Im at a loss to understand what you're asking
Yeah thanks Tweak1, but I meant comparing practically, how they affect the sound, not theoretically :)
@mxpwladimir
Hmmmm, how can they possibly be compared, do they all contain the same percentage of graphene by volume? It will separate, so how well do we shake it up to assure complete homogenization ..? The graphene enhancers consist of NANOparticles. Maybe that could be removed. You can wipe it off, but I doubt 100% as the metal itself is porous, and it is going to penetrate into it. Maybe, possibly the sellers are buying raw graphene and using different carriers (squalene, cod liver oil...) maybe organic, maybe not.

Thx Tweak.
And have you compared both yourself? Cause I have MSA Graphene myself and from my experience (apart from good thing that it does), it tends to filter out some of the bass frequencies and also a little bit emphasize region around 4-7kHz (roughly). My solution for this is to apply a thin coating of Vortex Hifi, which balances this out, BUT I don't wanna be a slave to my system and cleaning / reapplying all of this on all my contacts every year until end of times..
@mxpwladimir
I had a sample but lost it after treating a coax cable
Mad Scientist Audio has a similar product (looks the same, applies the same...) for a lot less money
I did not notice an increase in HF, BUT, my tweeters are 1" polyester
It takes a couple days to fully integrate

Hey guys, I'm thinking about ordering one, but tell me this - doesn't it sound to you (actual users, not theorists :) that it boost higher frequencies like other known enhancers?
Thanks
I don't use them the science doesn't support the use and if I really need a contact enhancer I would use a silver bearing dielectric grease
. But I have cleaned up many cables and repaired gear damaged by the use of contact enhancers. And if it needs refrigeration and has a shelf life how would that work in the real world? I think you all are nuts but that's this hobby for you.
johnk
What contact enhancers did you you use?
justubes Total contact if i remember right was supposed to be refrigerated and did have a shelf life. My year old Q45t is still fluid in the jar.
@agisthos , this is no audiophile engineering debate. It is not even the Muppets.
The path to an excellent system lies elsewhere, simple fact. This is all wishful thinking by people with a poor science background.
Save your money for better equipment. Don't piss it away on sh-t like this.
And agisthos, it would do you good to read up on psychoacoustics. You might learn something useful.
I have found my leftover tube of the raved Total contact has also gummed and hardened to a hard plastic like substance amd no longer spreads or coat.
This is very disconcerting
Tweak1 I agree completely especially in the hole where the ic and pc will be connected.
I just spent 4 hours cleaning contact enhancers off cables and gear. I would not suggest using it unless you enjoy gumming up your outlet's connectors and cable ends.
I really do want Rick to succeed and this product to be awesome but it is very expensive as far as contact enhancers go. The reviews have mostly been raves.
The Mad Scientist stuff is 9x cheaper though.
my oh my: a lot of shilling going on on this thread. I have used Mad scientist, Acoustic Revive and a few others. Mad Scientist was the most effective
Shilling is where a dealer, vested interest or the manufacturer itself come in and pretends they are just retail end users. What evidence do you see of that here? Do not throw such accusations about.
@mijostyn You have 6500 posts but pretend to act like you are a newbie who just stumbled upon an audiophile engineering debate. You have the experience to know the misc-audio sub forum has threads for thousands of these subjective products and tweaks like contact enhancers. So act with some common forum etiquette and go rant about DBT tests and psychoacoustics somewhere else.
I just got back from www.contactenhancer.com. Anybody who believes this BS needs to take a basic electricity course. This is just using ones own poor understanding of psychoacoustics to make money. It is just as bad as the trash the pharmaceutical industry advertises on TV, Relief Factor my backside. Whatever happened to that Jellyfish stuff?
This stuff is a total and complete waste of money. It does absolutely nothing to the sound quality of any system. If it did it would be 4 times as expensive and every audiophile on the planet would know about it. The marketing is insulting to any educated person's intelligence.
@jayctoy
If you ever applied either you would know that once applied and properly embedded that it would be EXTREMELY difficult, if not impossible, to remove 100% to then make a valid judgement
my oh my: a lot of shilling going on on this thread. I have used Mad scientist, Acoustic Revive and a few others. Mad Scientist was the most effective
Tweak1 , Nasaman tried both q45 and MS , he prefers the Q45 ..
I believe the contact enhancer product sold by Mad Scientist Audio is identical to the sample I had from RS. It made huge improvements in my system. AND, it's much cheaper.
@agisthos there is a few that have. I believe if you use the search feature they will populate. @ozzy I think had good results and some have had good results with the Mad Scientists juice.
Good luck.
Who else has used this product and what can give an honest report?
Ok I applied q45 on the original pc of My KLH model 9 Speakers it works, it’s more sweeter and smoother, music is more flesh out.
I think it's important for people to know you can't get Q45T-level sound quality from (admittedly much cheaper and still quite effective) graphene products.
+1++
”it delivers great sound”
Do not care what it is made of it delivers great sound
To some 7 year olds, the Moon appears to be identical to the Sun.
Many people seem to be under the false impression that the primary active ingredient in Q45T is graphene, presumably because it's black. That's not correct.
I bought what appears to the identical product from Mad Scientist (US dist) 100ml for $75. I have treated all my connections to great benefit
I am itching to try this stuff. On my cables, on my component fuses, on my E30 BMW...
Q45T is now avail at www.ContactEnhancer.com

My wife previously thought my system was great but clearly said that the improvement with NPS Q45T took the SQ to a new level.
IME, I always feel that the SQ could not possibly get better… until it does.
If describing the effect of Q45T in one word it would be articulation.
Instruments and voices are at a new level. In your face in a good (great) way.
@twoleftears
thanks for displaying a LEFT ear in your posting…🎼dada dada dada
I'll soon be merchandising these to protect from any physical damage to oneself while auditioning contact enhancers.
One wonders whether drinking the stuff might be beneficial to one’ brain’s connectivity…
Audiogon threads…..the happening place for enhancing your contacts…..

When my wife came into the room she immediately said “I can hear it sounds very good”.
Very good. What did wife think of the $135,000 system before the application of Q45T?
~ 10 days ago, I applied my sample, which I received way back in 2021 (long story why the delay), to just the coax cable between transport and dac, and the XLR I/Os from pre to amp. While there was an immediate jaw drop, it has improved quite a bit since then (even more organic, warmer/richer, more 3D). Can’t wait to get a bottle to treat the rest of my system + TV rig

When I say $345 is more like $34,500 it surely is a reflection of my satisfaction.
And a direct reference to actual money spent in my $135,000 system.
Can an actual amount be quantified.? Not really. Is it a highly subjective, emotional comment? Obviously.
The truth is that NPS Q45T has significantly improved my listening experience.
So much so, that I now look forward, excitedly to every LP. This was not my experience before the Q45T. The sound grabs me and my emotions like never before. Can you put a price on something that is priceless?
@facten ,
thank you for your comment: I am using the other three products I mentioned myself and simply take issue with the exaggerated claims being made on the new product.
Contact enhancers work, they do however not turn a pig into a golden stallion
I don’t know the science behind any of the enhancers, I use Furutech Nano and to my ears it provides some positive impact to the SQ. What I think hurts the acceptance of these type products is the hyperbole assigned , for instance and not picking on anyone , but $345 more like $34,500 in improvement; and the $10K to $45K extension. I have no doubt that positive impacts were heard , but the hyperbole helps the case of those that cry snake oil..
For starters one could try to measure resistance and impedance of an electrical connection before and after applying the contact enhancer….that is assuming that any scientific effort went into the product development…
@antigrunge2
And just could be done? One would need to shut off the system, strip each treatment off, apply the new, listen for a few days, then repeat. I seriously doubt one could quantify whatever differences that exist
It seems to defy any seasoned experience for a contact enhancer to make you hear the angels sing like no other without even an attempt at substantiation for the claim. I for one would appreciate if, instead of constant shilling the manufacturer would offer a scientific comparison to Mad Scientist, Deoxit, Acoustic revive et al.
