Without the Chronos the sound is not as involving and focus. I also think the sound stage is collapsing. The layering also suffer. Vocal is not as good either.palpability is also not there.
Chronos tweak at Axpona
I was passing by this room promoting Chronos tweak , the sound seems so good and huge . I like what heard, I was shocked to see the speaker were so small. As I listen I started liking the music more coming from the speakers. The price on this tweak is $2500, which I think is very expensive. The technology according to the Taiwanese doing the demo has something to do with resonance , vibration , space correction thing ? Iam not sure. But it did sound good with Chronos. It got me interested the next day I brought my wife with me.and my own cd to play . She like it for $1500 she will let me have it.But we never negotiate. Because I feel the tweak is so new. Let me ask someone here who attented Axpona and happen to listen to Chronos tweak. I willl really appreciate your experience and share it here.
Email.. support@nirvana-audio.com.I hope they were able to get distributor here. |
In the beginning I ask myself will the $2500 cable do what this chronos does ? My steer is no. It lower the noise of the system , the layering becomes more holographic, and the vocal is more focus. My wife said the music becomes more involving, according to my wife the music becomes more effortless .When I got home she was a bit disappointed I did not get it. |

(Not saying that the device doesn't work, etc.) But I find it interesting when you go to a company's web site, you see a slick set of background pictures, quotes, and general statements about their product, but you never even see the actual product, or any explanation of what it is or how it works,. Even the product manual doesn't say much of anything. I final found a couple of pictures of this device, but the text was all in Chinese. Makes me just shake my head and wonder...

Keswitzer if you are asking where it will be connected in the system? You don’t need to connect it to the system , you can put it anywhere inside the room. No power no batteries. You can bring it to your car and place it to the passenger seat or cup holder. They demo guy said you can use it on concerts. |
The question still exists.... What do the thing actually do? It says you can put it in a different room and it will do... something...??? but don't put it close to a computer or device that has to read/write to storage medium because it will cause a problem... what the...???

@jeffbij NAILED IT!! I have yet to see a single photo or video of the actual product, being used, a measurement, anything OTHER than platitudes and bloviating marketing speak. |
Here is a link to a picture that I found on their Facebook page. It looks to be some kind of USB device (the square thing it is plugged into is a portable battery pack). Looks to me like just another gadget for people with too much money to waste their money on. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=846066504198560&id=100063856551443&set=a.719561133515765 |
I'm not doubting you either, it is just the lack of information, explanation and science from the manufacturer is what is throwing up the red flags and doubts. Oh, BTW, I did search youtube for Nirvana Audio Chronos and found 4 videos. 3 were in Chinese. The forth was a before/after music only, which isn't reliablable. (Sounds like it was recorded by a cell phone.) If you could post the link to the video you found, it would be great. All you have to do is play the video, copy the link in the address bar of the browser, and then post it here.

I listened to the demonstration twice at Axpona. I'm not sure the science behind it but I heard a difference. Those two little USB sticks made the sound fuller and more engaging. But $2500 each is insane. Honestly ,if you talk with Krissy at Heartsound Audio she has many products that achieve the same result for far less money. I don't work for her but just enjoy her products. |
【 Caution! 】Do not insert Chronos into any electronic device with electronic computer capabilities (e.g., desktop computers, laptops, NAS servers, projectors, car computers,… etc.), in order to completely prevent any form of hardware read or write, which may destroy the integrity of its effects. Sort of like "Happy Fun Ball?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmqeZl8OI2M&t=19s&ab_channel=SaturdayNightLive |
I heard the Chronos demonstration early on Saturday at Axpona. It was so impressive I revisited the room again on Sunday afternoon. I attend a lot of shows and it is rare that I revisit a room unless it is exceptional. I've learned to trust my ears over the past 30 years of indulging in this hobby. Everything the OP experienced is correct. The Chronos has a much more impressive effect (though not the same) as the BAACH system. It is not subtle. $2500 is a serious chunk of change, but it is far less than buying a VAC Master preamp and monoblocks to drive an Acora speaker to maybe achieve the same results. I offered to buy the show samples, but they had already been promised to a reviewer, so I guess we can all stay tuned for that. |
Longplayer, Iam also interested in buying one of the demo piece with discount. Because my wife who is always hard to convinces but not with the Chronos. I heard them Friday back Saturday to play my one cd by Neil Lofgren. Sunday I decided they will not give me discount. But really I like the tweak but not for $2500. I totally agree with you even a good preamp won’t be able to do this tweak does. |
Understand, I'm not questioning that the Chronos device has an effect on the sound. What I'm still wondering is how they do it. What is the science behind them? - Jeff |
Jeff I think you need to talk to Krissy from Hearttsound audio. When Iam listening to the guy doing the demo? He said it’s a space, resonance, vibration correction. I think it’s more than that.Krissy might be able to share a glimpse of how they work. She is very smart, plus she is doing tweak same principle as the Chronos. |
