Bought a Denafrips Iris 1.0 DDC on eBay

A) I didn’t realize it’s a v1 model.

B) The guy said it was in perfect condition and the case is warped, which leads me to believe that it got really hot at some point. It teeters and he said so in a message.

C) The guy said that it was imperfect condition.

D) I paid $450 for it when the next version is only $100 more. He offered me $50 back to which I said that that seemed low.

I don’t wanna be the asshole but I really want to just return it under eBay‘s policy of misrepresentation. AITA? The other option is that I ask for $200 or $250 back.

I'd return it under ebay's misrepresentation rules and get the newer version in a heartbeat.  Happy listening

Imperfect and in perfect are exact opposites.  Which is it?  The latest version from Denafrips is $559.  If a couple hundred bucks is that important to you continue to negotiate.  To me it’s not worth it but that’s me.

Return it for FULL refund and get latest version with full warranty.

I paid $400 for my used Iris in perfect condition a few years ago so even $450 today ain’t a great price.  Return it and buy this, which is even better than the Iris…
