Best Song or AlbumTitles?

This is admittedly a stupid thread, and a waste of your time. But, for amusement sake, please indulge me.

All of us have our favorite bands, favorite genres and so on. But what are your favorite song or album titles?

There have been some very clever titles over the years.

I'd like to begin with my favorites:

"Careful with that ax, Eugene" the Pink Floyd classic.

"The smoker you drink, the player you get" by Joe Walsh

"As falls Wichita so falls Wichita Falls" by Pat Metheny

Others?
danlib1
frank zappa (suzie cream cheese)

david alen coe (little suzie shallow throat)

pat traverse (snortin whiskey & drinkin cocaine)
In no paricular order:
Leftoverture -- Kansas
All Hail Marx and Lennon -- Firesign Theater
Stop Making Sense -- Talking Heads
Twin Sons of Different Mothers -- Fogelberg and Weisberg
Ben, you beat me to it:

Capt. Beefheart: "Making Love to a Vampire with a Monkey on My Knee" was always one of my favorites.

The Chills: "Submarine Bells"; poetic title to what is still one of my favorite albums

XTC: "Love on a Farmboy's Wages"
Post removed
"The Shoes of the Fisherman's Wife Are Some Jive Ass Slippers"

(Charles Mingus)

Try and beat that!!
Here is the one you guys missed:

Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict-Pink Floyd/Ummagumma
Jim White's got a few funny titles. Great music too. This latest is titled:

Dig a Hole in that Substrate and Tell Me What You See

Prior releases include:

Wrong-eyed Jesus and No Such Place (the latter is my favorite of his)

Marco
Great thread. I'm laughing my ass off reading album titles I've never heard of.

I think any "best of" is my least favorite.

Ones I like that come to mind are:

"Richest Man in Babylon" by Thievery Corporation. Are they talking about Saddam or Chalabi or what?

I also like R. L. Burnside's "A Ass Pocket Of Whiskey".
Liqour in the Front, Poker in the Rear/Reverend Horton Heat, I believe. I was going for the Pink Crustacean thing.
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables -- Dead Kennedys

Eat or Be Eaten -- White Brains on Toast (off of Firesign Theater's 'Eat or Be Eaten')
Spooky Tooth "You Broke my Heart so I Broke Your Jaw"

Frank Zappa "Broken Hearts are for Assholes"
"Titties 'N Beer"
"Don't Eat the Yellow Snow"
"Penguin in Bondage"
"Why Does it Hurt When I Pee?"
"Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus"
"I Promise not to C*me in Your Mouth"
"The Illinois Enema Bandit"
"C*cksuckers Ball"

B.B. King "Nobody Loves me But My Mother"

Bare Naked Ladies "Be My Yoko Ono"

Black Sabbath "Fairies Wear Boots"

Blue Rodeo "The Ballad of the Dimestore Greaser and the Blonde Mona Lisa"

Bob Marley "Them Belly Full but we Hungry"

Bruce Cockburn "The Trouble with Normal"
"If I had a Rocket Luancher"

Bryan Adams "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me is You"

The Clash "Lost in the Supermarket"

Don Henley "You're Not Drinking Enough"

Downchild Blues Band "Tryin' to Keep Her 88's Straight"

Elton John "Jamaica Jerk Off"

Elvis Costello "I Can't Stand up for Falling Down"

Eric Clapton "Willie and the Hand Jive"

Green Day "American Idiot"

Iron Maiden "Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter"

Meatloaf "Life is a Lemon and I Want my Money Back"

Metallica "Free Speach for the Dumb"

Midnight Oil "Bullroarer"

Nirvana "Territorial Pissings"

Pearl Jam "Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town"

Red Hot Chil Peppers "True Men Don't Kill Coyotes"

Rough Trade "What's the Furor About the Fuhrer"

Stevie Ray Vaughn "Rude Mood"

Taj Mahal "She Caught the Katy and Left me a Mule to Ride"
"Goin' Up to the Country, Paint my Mailbox Blue"

The Tragically Hip "Gus: The Polar Bear from Central Park"

"Love Stinks" J. Geils Band
"They Ain't makin' Jews Like Jesus Anymore" Kinky Friedman
"The Surgeon of the Nightsky Restores Dead Things by the Power of Sound" by Jon Hassell
Almost forgot the classic from Two Nice Girls.

"Spent my Last $10.00 on birth control (and beer)".

(The next line in the song is "I was better off when I was sober and queer."
most obnoxious one I ever saw (including the album art) was an old punk album "Blood Sausage" by the Meatmen
Some of my favorite songs had some catchy titles:

"Teenage Enema Nurses in Bondage" by Killer Pussy

"How Does A Laboring Man Find Time For Self Culture" by Martini Ranch

"Walk With An Erection" by The Swinging Erudites

"Constipation Blues" by Screamin' Jay Hawkins
For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night- an album by Caravan
Euthanasia Waltz-Brand X
Also Sprach Zarathustra-Deodato
Gumbei,

Believe it or not, many years ago when Steve McCormack and I were much younger, we played, "Walk With An Erection" by The Swinging Erudites at CES.

We were in a room where "serious" listening was going on and Steve ask if he could play his own disc.

Everyone stood around nodding their head, thinking it was the Bangles, "Walk Like an Egyptian".

I still laugh today, remembering the look on Steve McCormack's face as he patted his foot to the music and examined expressions around the room.

There used to be a lot more fun in high end audio.
A country gospel classic:

"Dropkick Me Jesus" through the goalposts of life.
Gunbei/Albert,

You guys got that song in my head now, with the Bangles singing it! And Steve Martin is also doing his King Tut dance, Aaahhhhh....

I always new that Bangles drummer had a little extra going on down there, she had bulges!

Regards,
You guys forgot FireSign Theatre
Dont Crush that Dwarf, hand me the pliers.
Joe
I was drunk the day my Momma got out of prison.....

From what else but "The Perfect Country and Western Song" by David Allan Coe.

Regards,
How about:

Tuff Darts: "Your love is like a nuclear waste" ( they should stamp contaminated right across your face )

Root Boy Slim and the Sex Change Band with the Rootettes: "Party till you puke"

The Mentors: Most any song title applies here. If you're familiar with El Duece and crew, you know what i mean : )

Talking Heads: "More songs about buildings and food"

Buzzcocks: "Singles going steady"

Tonio K: "Life in the foodchain"

Primus: Sailing the seas of cheese / Professor Nutbutter's house of treats / Wynona's big brown beaver / Those damned blue collar tweekers / The air is getting slippery / etc...

Flaming Lips: "Yoshimi vs the Pink Robots"

Public Image Limited: "This is not a love song"

Wire: "12XU" ( pronounced "one two ex you" and i hope you get the meaning )

Devo: "Jocko Homo"

Monster Magnet: "Look to your orb for the warning"

Ned's Atomic Dustbin: "Kill your television"

Group X: "Stepping on the Crowtche owf Your American President" ( yes, this is the actual spelling and name of their latest CD release )

If you liked the type of music listed above and / or have a sense of humour, try checking out this home-brewed flash animation video from Group X. If you turn on your computer speakers ( hint, hint ), you can hear the "world famous Arabian rap group" ( how they bill themselves ) performing the song "Bang, Bang, Bang". If you are easily offended by "Arabian gangsta rap", don't bother because you won't like it. Be forewarned though. Arabian rap is obviously a bit different than American rap. These guys hate P Diddy : ) Sean
>

I've got about a half dozen more songs / "videos" for that band, all done in the same vein. If enough people are interested, i'll post links to them. The "cool" thing about it is that all of these "videos" were made by fans for the band, not by the band themselves. The very crude and low tech flash animation really blends well with the "minimalistic" music, doesn't it? Sean
>

PS... I'll take "Arabian rap" over "American rap" any day of the week : )
