They have since been already removed after I and others flagged them early this AM for explicit violent content ...it’s not just spam.

my point is that these "brand new member" internet trolls are back posting unfettered crap that is a repeat of AGON’s prior issues with this. AGON was filtering them out for a while but clearly that has now failed.

a simple fix is what Canadian and UK forums have as effective forum screening tool : new member posts will be held in limbo before release into the audio forum, pending a review first by the moderator.

I have recommended this MANY TIMES! The single biggest problem is people posting for the immediate gratification of seeing their blather in print. Anyone with anything truly valuable to say knows it will be just as valuable in an hour as now. 

The moderator complaint is this is too much work. But it doesn't have to be. This could be rolled out one topic at a time. Start with Misc Audio. Anyone wanting a serious discussion starts it in Misc Audio. All posts on Misc Audio are moderated. Nothing gets posted without first being reviewed and deemed ON TOPIC. Anyone trying to post off-topic gets a warning. Three warnings they get the boot.

Start with one Topic, see how it goes. What have we got to lose?

I can't recall which forum this is/was,but I remember joining,and your posts were held in quarantine until a moderator checked it. This went on until you reached a certain post count.( Can't remember that either) This seems like it would be too much work for most internet trolls. By the way,your car warranty is about to expire.

The quite pathetic thing about @millercarbon agenda driven post is that the OP is refering to the bot posts linking to porn sites that have made it past the forum filters in the last week or so ...

OP, It's kind of strange your worried about violent, filthy content then end your post with WTF. 

Is there a certain amount that is acceptable?

Best to lead by example, I'd think. As for the degree and kind of filth? Swearing is ok but shoot um up bank bang and running around in the buff is taboo?

Most reputable forums are set up trial first. Much easier than hunting down spam after the offense.

The moderators will have them gone in a jiffy without need to report them.

Life must be awfully good to get this wound up over something so irrelevant.

I didn't see the posts in question but if they can post in HTML, it's going to be spam fest unless the moderators stop allowing new accounts to post immediately. 

Yes, it's quite obvious they're spam so don't click on their links. Just take the time to report them as I do when I encounter it and bask in the knowledge you got rid of them.

Sadly at times reminds me of  scummy Twitter when topics are removed such as mention of a new fuse ,or comment about a specific dealer , That I would call censorship .

I sent my concerns to Tammy and I am waiting for a response.

I do wish people wouldn't try to make cute remarks or make people feel stupid.  If we all knew everything, why would we need this discussion group.

I realize some of these discussions are a bit ridiculous.  I told Tammy she needs to establish updated rules of engagement.  I also think if repeat offenders continue to attack others they should be removed.  I think after some people get removed the word will get out and things will settle down.

The OP’s post has nothing to do with MC. Folks posting personal attacks against MC are both far off topic and make clear why this site may need to hold posts in quarantine. All of these posts would be blocked like the silly internet troll stuff.
