Audioquest SKY/Everest is a favorite of mine.....Cardas makes my system sound like ----
Thanks to John and his crew at Audio Connections
I too have had only great experiences with John at Audio Connection. I moved from NJ to Arizona and the only thing that I miss is John.
VPI Classic III force gauge
me either.....use the Shure Bros. scale. It will get you into the ball park and then use your ears. There is no need for an electronic scale.
Does anyone use a RUMBLE filter?
Why filter anything from your megabuck stereo. The idea is to get it all. Set your vinyl rig up correctly and it will sound fine with no additional band-aids.
Anti static guns
I have a brush made of very thin metal bristles (very, very soft) that attaches and plugs into the ground outlet. Works great. The directions say you can swipe your cartridge with it too, however, the magnets are so strong in my cartridge, that it...

you need one for the Fozgometer....aside from that there is no need.

VPI Classic hum

VPI Traveler
Talk to VPI ....anything is doable.
VPI Traveler
I understand that the Traveler, andClassic series is now being configured with a built in SDS-like gizmo so there's no need for an SDS.
Anti-skating on VPI arm?
I too have a 3D arm, and YOU JUST DON"T NEED IT. However, if you want to try anti-skate, the filament goes in FRONT of the counterweight, and just behind the black tower of the arm. I presume you know how to go from there, but if you have a questi...
Anti-Static Brush
I use a static draining brush by Maplshade. It actually has a ground wire attached that you plug into the ground terminal of the closest electrical outlet. The brush is very soft, but does its job extremely well. It looks like junk, but does work....
