Steve G has a point
When opined upon, the objective becomes the subjective.
What is the most important component in your audio chain?
Every crappy stereo I've ever had has always sounded better in the company of a lover when I was young and free. I suspect other meat may have been involved.

@dogberry The UK charges VAT on goods into the country. Otherwise, it’s contaband. In my case, they didn’t care that the cartridge was to be in the country temporarily for repair. Same thing happened when I sent a 401 to AudioGrail, the SOBs charg...

@lewm Every time I've sent Decca to JW, the package was delayed by customs and VAT applied + £13 fee.
Garrard 301 tonearm build...thoughts?
@heightsmike I use Decca cartridges and if they work great on the 850, anything will.
Garrard 301 tonearm build...thoughts?

Legacy Focus SE or PS Audio FR20
I don't see anything wrong with the @audiotroy post. It's on topic. The dealer disclaimer is present and the comparative details listed appear clearly stated, although the claim of PS Audio cabinet build location should be confirmed.
Grant Fidelity Treasure Globe 6SN7 SE
Not cheap but the most detailed 6SN7 I’ve heard. Needs 50 hours minimum to break in. Very bright initially but after 100 hours they become balanced across the frequency range with good soundstaging and see-through transparency.
What's the best 6NS7 tube you have tried in your Atma-Sphere MP-3 preamp?
I use Shuguang Globes from Grant Fidelity. Not cheap but the most detailed 6SN7 I’ve heard. Needs 50 hours minimum to break in sounding best after 150 hours. Very bright initially.

Sending cartridges to the UK for service is a Royal pain.

You can never reproduce the point source of each instrument in a live venue with a mash of those individual instruments presented through a single transducer.
