Merlin VSM-M or VSM-MX vs. Kharma CRM3.2 series
Kevin: Trust your ears. Listen to as many speakers as you can, forget the technical spins.

Holton: Who are you to judge me or make statements about what I like "seeing". You do not know me. You are way out of line and since we have had no personal dealings you are talking out of your "hol".Tubegroover: Anything at any price can be compa...
Merlin VSM-M or VSM-MX vs. Kharma CRM3.2 series
Joneill: Your response truly surprises me. Most of us who have heard the Kharma's and the Merlin's would say the opposite. Not to take anything away from the Merlin's which are a nice value at their price point, the Kharma speakers are all about e...
Merlin VSM-M or VSM-MX vs. Kharma CRM3.2 series
Bobby,Why do you say, "IMHO, the Tenor is a better match with the 3.2 than the Merlin and the Joule is a better match with the Merlin than the 3.2. Comparing the 3.2s and Tenor to the Joule and Merlin VSM M or MX would prove quite interesting."? H...

Has anyone tried kharma CRM 3.1 or 3.2 with subs
I really do not think it is necessary for most music. The 3.1's and 3.2's go down to 35 Hz flat and that is truly all most rooms can really produce. The REL sub is quite good, but I would wait for the Kharma sub which should be a much better match.
Tube Research Labs multi channel preamp
Paul makes GREAT gear. I think it is going to be a very special preamp. Having the opportunity to hear it first is a huge benefit. It is certain to match well with your amplifier. I have not heard it yet and I have no doubt it is wonderful. As far ...
Von Schweikert VR2
The characteristics you are describing are definitely for from the use of silver in the cables.Go with a pure copper cable as recommended by Gmood1.
Bat VK-51se vs. Atma-sphere MP-1 Mk II
From my experience, I would have to recommend the BAT for most amplifiers. The Atma-sphere's impedance is a bit problematic for quite a few amps. Both are very reliabe, and very different sounding. The Atma-sphere does not have a remote, the BAT d...
Verity Audio Sarastro - Anybody heard
While I am a big Parsifal fan, I never liked the Lohengrin. The ribbon tweeter did not seem to integrate correctly with the midrange. From what I have been told, the Sarastro is almost identical.

What is the rest of your system?
Anyone compare the Lamm L1 ro LL2 to the CJ LS16?
Rushton: That is how I feel. It is certainly not a knock on the product. With many systems they match up incredibly well. If Bigkidz is looking for a warmer tubier sound, the CJ would be a better choice. I thought it was an important factor in ans...
Anyone compare the Lamm L1 ro LL2 to the CJ LS16?
Totally different sounds. The LAMM preamps are more to the neutral side and the CJ on the very lush and tubey side.
Question to Hydra owners
New Hydra without a doubt.
About the EMM Labs DAC
Rcprince is correct regarding the interface. That being said, any transport that outputs via an AES/EBU connection, would greatly benefit from the use of an EMM Labs DAC. Conversion from PCM to DSD still occurs, but, as Rcprince says, the benefits...
