Lyra Helikon vs Skala
Hi I did this upgrade a few years ago. At the time I had a SME 20/2 IV.Vi arm.Yes a lil warmer, but more resolution, more clarity/less distortion, more natural presentation. I felt nothing went backwards. Your mileage may vary (but not by much :)

Graham Phantom vs Triplaner
So, lots of tri-planar owners the talk about the tiny cartridge voltages needing a "unbroken path" or least broken via the tri planars integral cable. Seems like this design point maybe taking a back seat to a other portions of a arms design? The ...

Phono cable for Graham Phantom
Hi Ed one final point. I went from Venastus to PP on the tonearm cable. This is no subtle upgrade. It's quite large and since you have the AA tonearm cable, I suspect you will have to same result.
Phono cable for Graham Phantom
Hi Ed, You won't go wrong with either cable. Especially since you both in your system already today. Also, if you try the Proteus Provectus, you might sell your Dominus. Differences on these 2 being the PP more clarity and lower resolution. And se...

Upgrade to a vintage TT?
Hi, You might like both. A good direct drive will usually give a different presentation, specifically in this PRaT area. I have heard the Technics SP 10 mk II and III. In the right plinth with a good arm this can be a start of the art combo and ri...

Hi, I have to agree also with the darker on top, however I'd like to add with no loss in resolution and maybe really improved resolution and extension. This is a critical point to add because most assume dark as less high end info or closed down to...
