Lack of popularity of Chord??? No worries, thanks for the links. At their price it was too much of a risk for me not hearing them. I own the mojo and have demoed the Hugo TT with headphones (never speakers) which I will would love to own.
Lack of popularity of Chord??? Those are all DAC. Not too much about their amps or DACs used as per amps. Just my opinion. I have bought other stuff I could actuality demo at this point. I plan to replace my mojo for my headphones with something else from cord down the road.
Lack of popularity of Chord??? They are just too exclusive in the US. I only ever see their headphones amps. I liked the mojo enough to look into their amps but the lack of opinions online turned me off. I would love to have a DAVE but never will.
Paradigm or JL subwoofer Not sure about the silicone caulking. The local shop did all my repairs.
Revel Performa F228 Be speaker... thoughts? There is not a better speaker then the 228be in its price range. Just have to listen to things and see what you like. They are a flat accurate speaker and that does not mean you will like them but they are near perfect.
Paradigm or JL subwoofer Good call to stick with what you have. You will be happy with that. Each time my JL E112s broke they changed out all of the electronics. This last time they change everything (including the driver) but the box. I basically had 4 subs fail. My curr...
Less than satisfying sound with non-audiophile recordings Welcome to the club lol. While I really like the old wilsons they are not forgiving and I would guess they are the root cause. I don’t know your amplification at all. But I have lived with the same issue with a number of brands (B&W, Thiel etc...
Paradigm or JL subwoofer I would not buy JL audio used. They might need repaired at some point. Good sound garbage quality but they stand behind that garbage so…
Paradigm or JL subwoofer The E112s ($2500 each) sounds just as good as the Fathom 12s and look much nicer with the grills off imo. the driver design is a lot newer. But and it is a big but they don’t have the built in room correction. You do gain a built in highpass cross...
Need emergency help please! Reboot the phone, go into the blue tooth setting in your phone and forget the device. Then re-pair everything and see how it goes.
Paradigm or JL subwoofer Edit:I just noticed you are using a home theater receiver/processor. You can just do this function inside your processor. If you ever go to a two channel preamp/amp you will need an external crossover to do the same thing. A highpass crossover wil...
Paradigm or JL subwoofer Just buy the Paradigm. Sub integration is far more important then the sub itself. I would use the “saved” money for a highpass crossover. It will do more for you than any sub or system upgrade. The JL C-R1 is a good option and Bryston 10b-sub is a...
Adding Home Theater To 2 Channel System I for one like listen to music in the home theater room. I often game (online multi player) with the sound off and music on. I am all for a combined system. You will not lose anything. Just gain experiences.
Adding Home Theater To 2 Channel System Good to hear. If you end up trying rears again just use any old speaker you have sitting around or get something cheap. timbral matching the rears is a waist of money unless you are really into it. Highend rears is a waist too. If you run high end...
Adding Home Theater To 2 Channel System home theater gear will have zero effect your two channel. They can run 100% independent of each other. A 4.1 setup is so much better for movies than 2 channel. Much more involving. Speaker placement is key just like two channel it makes the bigges... |
