klipsh scala speakers
I personally don’t care for them. You can really hear the cabinet in them and they have no bass. He would need subs for sure. A number of people like them so demo before you buy as they are pretty different from modern speakers. I like the Cornwal...
I finally added a second REL Sub
Yes two subs is great for every system. Best upgrade I ever made. Something you should try is high passing them. I 100% sure you will get better sound, as in much better. Crossing them over higher (40hz-70hz, I use 60hz,). This is not a low pass b...

Thanks yyzsantabarbara, I will read up on the Gustard X26.

Jafant,I have a simple all digital system. Mac mini computer into a wyred4sound dac, to two JL E112 subs highpassed at 60z to the MC462 amp. I dabble in home theater (well maybe more than dabble, with a dedicated, treated all black room lol) so I ...

I have been running my 2.4s off a McIntosh MC462 power amp for about a month now and I am happy with the results. It should be noted that I highpass my speakers at 60hz. While the MC462 does not look like the best match for the 2.4 due to its wick...
Persona B in a 36 x 27 room?
Room size does not matter. It only matters how far you sit away and how many seats you want to cover. For most of that is 1 seat at 12’ or less. You could take your system outside and sit 9’ way and it would be fine (better in a lot of ways). Room...
Why do people say low power amps should be good for bookshelf speakers?
Yeah don’t listen to Best Buy employees. 99.9% of the time the larger speakers are easier to drive as they have bigger drivers than need to move less for the same sound pressure.
Magico A3 vs. Wilson SabrinaX
Trackmoe, low impedance speakers are harder to drive. Most amps struggle to put out a lot of current into low impedance loads and get hot in the process. The voltage out of the wall is constant So the amplifier has to put out more amps as the resis...
Magico A3 vs. Wilson SabrinaX
“What's sad is that no one got my ebm tribute............”Oh I got it, but just moved along lol.
Magico A3 vs. Wilson SabrinaX
The Sabrina are the hardest wilson to drive. It would be worth checking out the impedance curve on stereophile. The Sabrina is pretty dynamic for a small speaker but they are a small speaker. They have a bit of a bass spike to my ears which I thin...
Speaker for McIntosh setup
I can’t answer you question directly but I can give some klipsch Mac input. I use Klipsch RP8000F in my home theater but when I broke them in I hooked them up to my two channel rig which has a MC462. The MC462 and the RP8000F really made me questi...
Speaker for McIntosh setup
Really anything neutral or even a touch bright will be fine. I would stay away from dark speakers with Mac gear.
Why don't more recordings have soundstage outside of speakers
Try less or zero toe in too for wider soundstage. I find a lot of electronic music goes well outside the speakers
Cut lower frequency to help my bookshelf speakers
Yes high passing your speakers will make a big difference. The mini dsp is a good place to start as it is cheap. I would try 60z-80z. I think it will give you want you need as long as long as you sit 10’ or less.  Assuming that you are with stand ...
Revel Salon 2 vs Vandersteen 5a Carbon
The revels will not wow you as they do not exaggerate anything in anyway. It is a very good speaker and they sound good on McIntosh gear. If they have any major flaw it is lack of impact. They are a little polite and dry. Other wise they are near ...
