Probably more confused than regretful. Welcome to the worlds most cynical audio forum where opinions are facts.

WILSON AUDIO.....BIG NAME, BIG PRICE........ARE THEY THAT GOOD?
I have never heard the watt puppy 8. They could be getting a little old. Make sure you check the foam around the tweeter. The Sophia 3 sounds pretty close to the Sasha to me. The Sophia with its fixed head is more limited in setup. But within that...
Wilson Audio Sabrina X vs Revel Ultima Salon 2
There is not a doubt in my mind that the Salon is a better speaker.... but I find the Sabina (never heard the X) more engaging. The Sabrina has a bit of a bass hump around 80hz-ish? I think. This makes them sound “bigger” than they are. The revels...
WILSON AUDIO.....BIG NAME, BIG PRICE........ARE THEY THAT GOOD?
Imo they are that good. I use the term good as enjoyable. There are better more accurate speakers for less money but I really like wilsons. The Sophia 3 has great bass and solid mids. The highs might be the only deal breaker as many don’t care for...
Streaming vs ripped music
I used an optical cable from a Mac mini to a dac. I honestly can’t tell a difference between streamed and ripped CDs typical music coming off the Mac.
When and how much?
I think they came our right around 2000 and retailed for $2200 give or take.
Would This Amp Be Worth The Cost?
Hmm,even on YouTube I feel there is a pretty clear difference in these two...https://youtu.be/LYn8Fj7ItnY
What Amp with Sonus Faber Olympica 3?
Samzx12“Which Classe Delta?”I believe it is just called the Delta Stereo amp and they were using the matching pre amp. Very nice sounding setup. I think it is $12,000 though. Class A for the first 12 watts. https://www.classeaudio.com/products/del...
What Amp with Sonus Faber Olympica 3?
I can’t help much other than hearing them on the new Classe Delta series and I thought the combination sounded great with strong bass, clean highs and large soundstage. Pricy amp though.
If you don't have a wide sweet spot, are you really an audiophile?
I have found Thiel, Revel and Kef to have wide sweet spots. B&W to be one of the worst offenders for box speakers and Wilsons (Sophia 3, original Sasha) to sit somewhere in the B&W and Revels. Martin Logans has the smallest sweet spot of a...
Upgrading from Martin Logan ESL15a w/Force subs to Wilson Sasha Daw or Alexia 2 w/JL subs
Woots,I assume you pass the home theater through the C2700. Is this correct or are you doing something custom? If custom it might not work for you. The CR-1 is designed for two channel music. Out of the CR1 you will have a right and left lead to t...
Upgrading from Martin Logan ESL15a w/Force subs to Wilson Sasha Daw or Alexia 2 w/JL subs
Woots,JL audio’s sub inputs are summed. So if you have two of them (which leaves an open input on each sub) you can use them to crossover to the mains AND run the LEF of your processor for movies. You just setup with the crossover like normal for ...
Why No Love For Peachtree Audio?
I bought a Decco when they first started coming out off of crutchfield. The right to left balance changed by 1-1.5 db as I changed the volume. I returned it and never looked at them again. Maybe they have improved their volume control, maybe they ...
Bass Vs speaker efficiency
“Tight” bass no. But efficiency and box size have a relationship for deep bass. The pressure increases faster in a smaller box and the driver has to work harder to overcome it.
