Why don't gold based cable fans try Synergistic
I find my SR cabling to be very neutral and transparent, neither warm or fatiguing at all. I have a very resolving system and they present in a very natural, organic manner, neither adding nor subtracting from the soundstage. I have had other bran...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Bacardi - That's what I was getting at - the SR D-3. Probably the most underpriced cable they make (once you hear it)

Is there a reason why you can't use a digital connection?
VAC Signature MKIIa pre-amp
Dev - Glad you like the VAC Sig IIa - I had a pretty good hunch you would, but you had to hear it in your system. I'm not sure what kind of SPLs you play your music at, but a number of us are using a pair of VAC 300.1s in mono configuration with g...

The speaker cells will be remaining in my system. They are providing a bit better imaging and detail as well as tighter bass and a bit better lower-volume resolution. The presentation is also a little more organic. These are not night/day differen...
New Von Schweikert VR 33?
Hmmmmmmmmmm. I thought dealers were supposed to disclose their affiliations, especially when criticizing a manufacturer. "Agenda" appears to be putting it mildly.I own VR-7's and Albert was very helpful in guiding me through a bypass V-Cap crossov...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Ozzy - I have VSA VR-7's which required the extra length for the bi-wire application. I've hooked the 2nd speaker to the speaker cell and will wait a day or two before critical listening. Initial impression is pretty positive.
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Tbg - Its VERY SIMPLE - My Apex cables are BI-WIRE, which means there are 4 ends that go to the speakers. 2 of those ends are heavier(main) and the other 2 come off of the main Apex cable as 48" pigtails. All are spade terminated, with the main en...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Tbg - You almost confused me!! Let me explain a bit more clearly. Before speaker cells: Apex biwires hooked to my VR-7s in bass and mid modules; 1 amp per side. Currently: 1 speaker just as before. 2nd speaker with both Apex main and Apex pigtails...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Dave and others: I had a really good "AHA" moment yesterday regarding the speaker cells. After a bunch of brainstorming, Elliot(SR)and I, with the assistance of nautical Ted, figured out that the main reason I wasn't getting good performance out o...
Synergistic New Tesla Line...Any comments?
Dave - I haven't decided yet whether to keep the speaker cells, although I am leaning towards doing so. They do improve imaging nicely and also add a bit more detail. I'm still undecided how I feel about the soundstage being pushed a bit further b...
Esoteric P03 - D03
I'm arriving a bit late to this thread, but I have directly compared the 7N D6100R Mexcel Acrolink digital cable with the SR D-3 in my system between Esoteric Transport(UX-1Pi with an original UX-1 assembly) and 32-bit DAC. This was done in Decemb...
Synergistic Research Tesla Users......
Your dealer is incorrect, at least in my experience and your guesses are way off. In my system, the D-3 bested Mexcel Acrolink cables costing more than twice its price, as well as every other cable I tried. It is the best digital cable I could fin...
CAT JL-3 Versus VAC phi 300.1 monos?
I also have a pair of VAC 300.1s and have had them for a little over a year now. They don't run as hot as I thought they would, and it is a very small price to pay for the great sound others have described above. I've heard CAT amps at shows and w...

I believe D2 and D3 are active shielded.
