Which atmos reciever/preamp / integrated has the best room correction built in and atmos? @phantom_avBass traps are enabling technology, but a well integrated sub requires EQ, and when it is used properly I'll take that over poorly integrated sub and "signal purity"
MQA is Legit! Strange to hear any MQA bashing from a cost or sound quality issue. But that's exactly how any new feature gets evaluated: Cost vs. value.
Why the facination with integrated amps? Space, total outlay, and complexity are big one's for me. I mean, think about it, the ideal bit of stereo kit is a unit the size of a paperback romance that does everything via a remote tablet or phone. Add in an integrated with a good digital or ...
High resolution digital is dead. The best DAC's killed it. @jetter Or maybe to say it in another way, the woofer and tweeter + and - are attached opposite to the signal from each other? With 2-way speakers, this is usually the case. The reason has to do with time and crossover phase. It is considered far...
Which atmos reciever/preamp / integrated has the best room correction built in and atmos? From what I've read, Anthem is among the best room correction, and certainly within your budget.
Advice on bookshelf speakers (Sierra 2, Buchardt, Monitor Audio, LS50) Monitor Audio's silver series is sometimes like that. Musical and slightly punchy. Certainly very good value for the money.
High resolution digital is dead. The best DAC's killed it. Next time some one agrees with me I'm deleting this thread! :D :D E
Spam threads gone wild... They suddenly got pretty bad for a while. And honestly, Elizabeth, I've signed up for the black magic get a girlfriend program. Can I have a strand or two of your hair???
Is shielding necessary on interconnects & speaker cables @petware when you know you have a lot of induced noise. :) Like if you are picking up a radio station, or motors or fluorescent lights.
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like @builder3@jasonsimAll good info,t hanks guys! I have Class D and they need DAYS to warm up, but they idle at 7W each, so I don't mind leaving them on. I’ve also heard some tube gear which really does take 30-45 minutes to sound it’s best.Oddly, th...
Intervention... I need help... Talk to Fritz, he can make you amazing bespoke speakers for small spaces.
High resolution digital is dead. The best DAC's killed it. Even if polarity mattered, and I'm on camp no, then what type of gear we need gets complicated. Most multi-way speakers have 1 or more inverted drivers. A typical 2-way box speaker inverts the tweeter relative to the woofer (but not always). Things...
Is shielding necessary on interconnects & speaker cables Noise vs. capacitance. Most people are fine with unshielded. The shield in a cable acts as a capacitor plate, so it may introduce some rolloff, which may be desirable.
Intervention... I need help... One thing I have noticed is the number of subs and an Onkyo and Yamaha HT receiver. Seems like integration between the sub and the room has been tough, and it usually is. Also I find Onkyo HT products among the thinnest and least inspiring. So, ge...
Intervention... I need help... Um, what of this ownership brings you joy? What is the joyful situation at the end you think you'd go "I'm happy!" If you don't have one, then buying more stuff won't help. May I suggest, based on your request for an intervention, sell everything ... |
