High resolution digital is dead. The best DAC's killed it.
I have pro gear that has a phase inversion button. Kind of useful to quickly check things. I am surprised that nobody has this. Amazing that this hobby values fancy cables and the effort that goes into swapping that fancy stuff out but a simple po...
Seek non-ported speakers - $700 to $1500 To stop the port-itis in my room!
OP : Check out the Soffit traps at GIK. They are extremely effective, and I like to set them standing, 2x in each corner. They are marvelous.
On order, new receiver
The 720 is worth it even for 5.1. The larger power supply give you more watts / channel, especially if you don't use a couple of them. :)

So, this brings us full circle. Who really can tell a difference in their system's polarity? How much money would you pay for a switch to invert? For me, that is $0.
How to DIY yourself very nice Class D monoblocks
@rotarius That is an interesting find! 300W/channel, and uses a very high (relatively) 2.1 MHz switching frequency! It would be really nice to see frequency vs. phase plots for these amps. Best,E
Topping DX3 Pro - Live
For Windows 10, the main benefits to the Topping drivers seems to be the little status window you can view things like current sampling rate, and firmware version.I can confirm that mine shipped with firmware version 1.04, the latest, which should...

Actually let me look for old threads on this, and then if not, let's have a group listening test. See who cares, or thinks this is at all an earth moving issue.Best,E

Great, let's pick two and reverse our speakers and see who cares.

So I bought this specifically to be a work desk device, so I'll be comparing it to my reference rig, which is inconvenient. A Fiio  X3 II with headphone amp attached. There is where I keep my ESS 422H and Shure E4c IEMs. So far with my AKG 712s it...

I like socks, but only organic cotton. Actually, no, I think the real issue is the listener has bad room acoustics. Call GIK Acoustics and get help, it will make the room much more speaker friendly.
Tweeter Capacitor Upgrade (Coincident PREs)
I  meant: 4uF is the border for Clarity CMR. Above that, bypassing helps, below that it does not. 4.7 uF ..... is right close. So it's worth trying but in the end you may find it's not worth it.

Hey Cal, Did you try 0.1uF Audyn True Copper? I feel 0.01uF is way to little. I've had 4x that and had no effect at all, also Duelund silvers. I suggest you try the Audyn's because the value is right (0.1uF) and relatively cheap ($20  / each) If y...
Speaker positioning games. Where can I go from here?
Room acoustics first. Contact GIK. Good room treatment can make your speaker's bass sound bigger and tighter.

@audiolouis You make a lot of very verbose claims about audio polarity. Can you point out a specific track or better yet, CD which you feel should make this perfectly obvious to anyone? Preferably something on Tidal. Next, are you stating that tha...
Luxman Integrated - What do they sound like
Thanks so much for the replies, @jasonsim It's not actually heat output I'm worried about so much as sound quality, I was trying to assess how long I would have to turn the unit on before it sounds its best. Thank you,Erik
