Do standalone digital-to-digital EQ and Room Correction products exist? SPDIF in SPDIF out
There's' a miniDSP nano which works.
The rejuvenation of FPB 600 after recap
If you have a choice, higher temp caps last longer. But yeah, that amp may sound better than it did originally. Electrolytic caps are so much better, lower inductance than they used to be.Panasonic makes great ranges of low inductance, low ESR cap...
Upgrade 7.1 to Atmos, can the tv decode it for me and send the signal via ARC
I don’t think you’ll have any problem playing new tracks with your DD decoder. It won’t exactly "decode Atmos" but you will get the 5.1 in the stream. You may have to configure the TV to tell it what kind of output it can take. Not sure how automa...
Saxaphone vs. Trumpet...Which do you prefer?
In case anyone is interested, there's a great "biography" of the sax here:https://amzn.to/2ZyFgq7When first introduced, the sax was controversial for more reasons than the sound.

hey @helomechI absolutely did. Those are his cabinets. My parts and crossover. :)
Saxaphone vs. Trumpet...Which do you prefer?
Sax, Trombone, Trumpet - in Jazz.If this was Classical, I think that the French horn is without a doubt, the most underappreciated instrument in an orchestra. (yeah, I'm trolling, but it's in fun and actually related to music - :D )

Just FYI - Looks like Madisound has started carrying replacement drivers from Seas. Only saw two there, but worth checking out. A titanium tweeter and a mid-woofer.
What speakers use a "minimal" crossover?
The Totem Element speaker line doesn’t use any active or passive crossovers. I’m not sure why people misread this. Their actual quote is: No active or passive cross-over parts in the woofer section You can read it on their website here:https://to...

Have we brought up Fritz and his series mode crossovers?

speaker impeadance question
I don't really like to use the phrase "constant voltage" here. I think that the term "voltage source." is more clear. Meaning, the voltage is a function of the input voltage, not the speaker impedance. For what we call a power amplifier, this is u...

Thanks @teo_audio I've cleaned them up.
speaker impeadance question
You don't exactly get constant wattage, or constant voltage. What happens is that with high impedance amps and low impedance speakers is you can loose output power (i.e. dynamic range). By having a 4 Ohm tap, your 75W tubes still put out 75W.  Oth...
Which power cords help ameliorate digital glare/grain/digititus?
I think shielding can help, but otherwise I think you should consider your DAC and room acoustics. I haven't suffered from digital glare in ages.

Hey there @helomech ,Thanks! Between making my own speakers, and buying the Luxman at half off, I have put together a system far beyond my actual means. I feel very lucky. Best,E
