Like Pronouns do we have to many music genres?
I enjoy making things as complicated as possible. Slice & dice. Thinner, please!
How long do you or should you keep your gear.
@oddiofyl I enjoyed my Quicksilver Monos for years. Tone to die for. After maybe a decade or so, though (through which I lived through stretches of good times and times of finicky tubes and various preamp meltdowns & misadventures), I took a f...
Pet Sounds: Most Overrated Album of All Time?
Okay, you're making me talk. My two favorite Rock albums of all time are Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane, with Television's Marquee Moon and any Ramones album coming in close behind.   I might have said this in another post 'way back when, but ...

New-fangled tech like streaming notwithstanding, I tend to keep my stuff until it breaks. If I like the sound I'm getting, I'll just continue to turn the machines on and let myself fall deeply into the music.
Qobuz unusually slow?
Yeah.
Has anyone ever been able to get help from NAD
Completely off subject, but fifty or so years ago, my Kenwood Receiver (tubed!), stopped working. I went to the tiny storefront that served as Kenwood’s repair station in L.A., and a guy who only spoke Japanese gave me a new one.

How eclectic is your taste in music?
@acman3 -- Tell it to me Dolly...
The Boss is the Bo$$
Springsteen at the Inglewood Forum, in the wake of (what was it?) the release of Darkness on the Edge of Town, remains one of the best live concerts I've ever attended. In my personal concert-going history it ranks up there with Herbert von Karaja...

Should We Prioritize Detail In Our Assessment Of Audio Quality?
I agree with everything you say. Detail, though, might be the easiest thing for somebody to analyze and judge a system by. It lends an aura of science and objectivity. It's so much more objective than discussing orchestral tone or what Frank Sinat...
Why Are People So Concerned About How Others Spend Their Money?
Finger wagging is one of humankind's most common activities. It's gotta be sourced from way down in the recesses of the brain. It's a way to project power & dominance. And yeah, It takes true vigilance to hold it in check...To use it wisely.
Classical Music for Aficionados
There'll always be tunes & performances that exist somewhere between genres. Stop worrying. Love the bomb. ...I mean, the music.
Qobuz vs.Idagio
Yeah, I dutifully tried to track 'em down at their new home, but I don't possess any apple hardware or software, and I quickly found that Idagio might even be better. So long, Primephonic. Been good to know ya.
