Final? ARC Chapter... Who cares. It’s their business to do whatever they choose. What’s with all the comments from the cheap seats? You all sound like a bunch of old ladies gossiping. Be better than that!

I am just very happy with my system. I’ve been happy with 20 systems for 38 years. Never stopped me from experimenting with different products. But now I’m done, mainly because I’m too old and too tired to sell and ship gear.
user poll on seperates vs integrated For $10k you can purchase a tube preamp, monoblocks, speakers, and a turntable. You simply have to buy them used. I’ve done it. The most expensive item were $9.5k speakers for $3300. I own Primaluna KT88 mono’s that also accept EL34’s. My preamp ...

Is it possible for a high end manufacturer to overprice their goods? News flash. The majority is overpriced. Which is why for 40 years 92% of my purchases have been purchased used. That’s the only way to build a decent system on a budget. I’ve spent 30 cents on the dollar to build a $12k system. The only new items ...

Secondly, most of these people weren’t buying, and selling, gear on Audiogon since it’s inception. Therefore they don’t have a clue what gear is...
Who else can't sleep the night before their fancy new gears arrive? Anticipation. I’ve had it for 45 years, excited while waiting for every piece of gear ever arrived!
Real world Loudspeakers what does very good cost ? $3300. Martin Logan Spires. Purchased used. New they were $9500. So yes, used is the way to purchase the majority of great audio gear for much less money. Save and buy used.
Law Of Diminishing Returns? @jeffstrick , yes extremely content. In fact I’m done. Now, if I can only clean and play vinyl as often as I’d like to!
If you had to narrow your choices to 4 - 5 speakers I could never live without Martin Logan’s. An absolute must!
Law Of Diminishing Returns? I have an excellent sounding system. I don’t have $20k invested. Most would believe that I must have more invested. Here it is Martin Logan Spire loudspeakers-used for $3300 Primaluna Prologue 6 tube monoblocks-used for $1800 Dennis Had Inspire...
