Turntables hit the mainstream
Here's how it looks on the NM website: Appears to have a built-in phono preamp, so the user can just plug it into their system.  I guess it could be plugged into a Bose Wave Radio as well - pretty cool. ____________________________________________...
Set up
Wow - that's an old amp.  I did a quick search and see that it has a "disc" input for magnetic and ceramic (wow) cartridges, so you should be fine.  Enjoy.
New Wilson - Wamm Master
Just imagine how good the Wamm II will be!
Killer Floor Standing Speakers under $4000 for Rock?
Yes, they look really good for loud rock music.

IMO, you are wasting your time and money with high-end speaker systems. They will not give you what you want. Here’s something closer to what you need and the cost is very reasonable. https://www.amazon.com/JBL-3722N-Passive-Operation-Loudspeaker/...
What is the most analog sounding CD player under $
without getting involved in the analog v. digital debate, I think when people talk about an analog-sounding cd player, they mean something on the warmer side.
Clean away old CD treatments
Can it core A apple?
Clean away old CD treatments
Dawn is the go-to product for auto detailers that want to strip the old wax from cars before a detailing.  Very good on windshields to remove the greasy buildup that makes wipers streak.  It's also good on dishes.
Clean away old CD treatments
Dawn dishwashing liquid should remove any waxes or oils on the CDs.  You might also try ROR - residual oil remover, a liquid made for cleaning fine camera and microscope lenses.  It's available from Amazon or most camera stores.  But the Dawn shou...
Not seeing the sound
Check the phase - out of phase speakers have sound coming out of nowhere.  Put on a cd with a well-centered vocal like Nora Jones and make sure she's coming from dead center.  If not, your speakers are out of phase or you moved them to such a wack...
Problem with Esoteric service
Personally, I would return it to the seller if possible.  I wouldn't accept an item that does not function properly and will cost hundreds to fix.  That is total BS.
A new mat for my Linn LP12
I loved the Herbies mat on my Music Hall, but hated it on the Linn. Herbies gives a money-back guarantee, so there’s minimal financial risk in trying one, but I’ve tried several mats on the Linn and always came back to the standard felt. Of course...
I should have never ....
Even better idea - if you can buy the demos, get a home audition so you know the speakers will match well with your room.  Yes, you will spend more than buying used, but you will be confident in your purchase decision.  I did this with my speakers...
I should have never ....
You learned a very valuable lesson - all the talk and advice from others, no matter how well-meaning, have nothing to do with whether you will like the recommended product. You also learned that the "price has nothing to do with quality" mantra is...
Request advice-need "brighter" speakers than Totem Hawks
Buy an equalizer and turn up the treble. Or replace your amp with an integrated that has tone controls. I’ve owned Hawks and Forests and they have a very balanced top end. I’ve said many times that many people, based on their listening preferences...
