Whats playing on your system today?
Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.
I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....
Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....
Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

flamin groovies, jumpin in the night--recorded after the departure of their main man, roy loney (whose "out after dark" is fantastic and on spotify). more of a jangle pop direction. lots of covers (including a version of "werewolves of london" that cuts the original), but it's the originals that really stick with you. wooden shjps, west--trancey, garagey psychedlia; something like an overdriven velvet underground. oddly hypnotic. |

REO Speedwagon "Ridin' The Storm Out" (lp). I was gifted this in very good shape and happens to be a 1A/1A copy to boot. It's a fun early REO record and sounds very respectable. Been on a Van Halen streak the last two days. Seems I go on a VH streak then go a few months without listening to any and then repeat.
