For me its the first or very early LP's of: Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South" Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer" and, Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
Live music last night, Pink Martini at the Pantages Theater in Tacoma. I was able to pick up a couple more of their records that I don't have at the merch table - Hey Eugene and Get Happy.
Listening on a new-to-me Kenwood KD-650 that showed up at my local vintage store recently and begged to come home with me. Put a Nag MP-200 on it, so far it’s quite impressive.
@j_husker - Congrats on the vintage Kenwood TT. I've always wanted one of the Kenwood "The Rock" turntables since I first saw one in the early '80s. There is a guy locally who has a kd-550 he may want to sale. I really should go take a look at it...
“The Rock” tables are very rare around here and I couldn’t let this one pass by. It’s a beast for sure. Needed a new dust cover and hinges, and a decent power cord. Had a 681eee on it, which sounded fine but NOT mp-200 fine.
In the process of integrating it I decided to try it hooked to the MA-352 onboard MM phono card before running it through the Channel Islands PEQ. A bit shocked honestly. The MA-352 phono stage is probably decent by most standards but I was instantly reassured of just how effing good the CIAudio is.

I have a Kenwood 2055 sitting in my basement. Have had since new back in the mid-70's. Loved that table, but just had too many issues after to bringing it upstairs, to check out vinyl again, to keep it in service going forward with any re-journey into vinyl. For sentimental reasons, Ive just never thought about getting rid of it.
The 2055 is a belt drive vs the 500 and I assume 600 series which were direct drive.
I was looking for that American Music album but could only find it for between $59 and $100, on Discogs in NM/M- condition. Rather pricey. Any suggestions?
@mammothguy54 - I bought my NM/NM- copy of Danny and the Fat Boys - "American Music" two weeks ago for $40. It is a fantastic album overall, although I don't love the first 2 selections on the first side. They are not bad, they are just a style/genre I don't love. However, everything else is simply amazing to me...
Valerie Carter - Just a Stone’s Throw Away ( at least partially produced by Lowell George, Valerie sang backup for James Taylor for many years. I enjoy her other work including Wild Child. Sadly RIP. )
