The Wonderful Sounds Of Female Vocals / sides 3 & 4

This Analogue Productions compilation pulls me in and I end up listening to all four sides. Great artists, “wonderful sound”, well presented.

@boxer12,

Thanks for the recent reminder.  Isn’t this  quite different style music than on (at least some) of their other albums?   I sure like it. Musical Irony?
Antal Dorati conducts Koechlin - Les Bandar-Log, Op. 176 & Messiaen - Chronochromie For Orchestra. And…Boulez conducts Boulez - Les Soleil Des Eaux. BBC Symphony & Chorus. Angel 1965
Spiritofradio,
For sure. They seem to change their style a bit from album to album. It's always pretty interesting though. A very creative band, for sure. If you have time, at some point in the future check out "How I quit smoking". It's slower but still very good. One of my favorites from them.
Szell conducts Hindemith - Symphonic Metamorphosis Of Themes By Carl Maria Von Weber & Janáček - Sinfonietta For Orchestra, Op. 60. The Cleveland Orchestra. Columbia Masterworks 1968
This is fun!  What a wonderful group of people.

I've been having some serious trouble with my analog front end.  I believe it's my cartridge.  Foolishly, I sold ALL of my old cartridges so not even one do I have for changing out to test and trouble shoot.  I'm bringing my rig over to Upscale Audio fairly soon and they are going to check the stylus/cantilever.  Also my phono stage, just in case.  And that is why I have not been playing vinyl lately.

On the bright side, no matter the outcome, I am also looking to upgrade my analog front end.  I believe that a new turntable, tonearm, and cartridge are in the cards for me in the very near future.

I am not getting any younger.  Now is the time to make some rather significant steps forward in my system.  And then, enjoy!

Look at what Brian has been doing.  Same idea, I believe.
The Sapphire is up and running... Alan Parsons Project - I Robot MFSL UHQR

I love the attitude! Best to you!

That's been my attitude with record buying the last several years Bill and Joel.
That’s a good one to have, Steve. If you ask me, we can never have too many records.

Ha! Absolutely Joel. At 64 (in a month) I ain’t getting any younger, and not sure my income will be the same or similar as it is now in the coming years, so this is the time to hopefully make some smart long term (perhaps ‘end game’) purchases. The Treo’s were a big step in doing so.

Now if David would get my new preamp built and sent to Johnny Rutan, I will hopefully be incorporating another of those pieces.

Then maybe someday, vinyl will become my ‘major’ purchases.

In addition, I also blame you all for being ‘bad influences’ 😁
