Belly Up !,,, for sure. Love / Hate w Spin…storing new discs the way they do leads to damage..maybe it has just been my luck !

@noromance , Brian, et. al. , Have you seen that a  remaster (half speed) 45 of “A Momentary Lapse of Reason” is coming out end of next month and sometime later AP will issue its “Amused to Death”.   Both are available for pre-order.   Personally, I’m jazzed about both.
I feel like i need to hire an assistant to look ahead and get all the exciting new / reissue LP on order…

@sourpuss123 Love your room, axes, groove and the classic Marantz gear. Sweet. We will have to host a Pac NW meetup w Greg, James before i retreat South… Stay tuned…
Spirit,

Really?  A remaster (half speed) 45 of "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" is available for preorder and soon to ship?  This must be good fate for me.  I had ordered a Pink Floyd Records version of that album and received it a couple of weeks ago (from a seller on the Wall Mart site).  It was severely warped so I sent it back for credit.  Now, I will order this new release.  Good fate!  Thank you for the heads-up.

Returned from my fishing trip yesterday afternoon.  Caught a ton of bonito and a barracuda but put them all back.  I don't eat bonito or barracuda.  Got a couple of nice yellowtail.  Got a nice medium sized bluefin tuna.  Lost a bigger bluefin tuna.  Darn!

Back to spinning vinyl later today.
@spiritofradio,

James, I thought we're suppose to be experiencing a vinyl shortage since the big fire a year ago? I'm not complaining though my wallet may be.
@big_greg I’m just north of Stanwood just shy of the Skagit county line (with a great view of the islands).
@tomic601 I’ll bring the bean dip! And thanks for the kind words
IF anybody w MC needs use or long term loan aka “ custody “ of a Sumiko Fluxbuster , let me know. Pls do check compatibility!

ELO - Eldorado
United Artists 1974

Still sounds good in spite of how much play it got when it was first released. One of my favorites that year.

@tgilb,

Don't know if you're interested but my friend mentioned that Eldorado is coming out on MFSL 45rpm.
@slaw..thanks for the tip on that. I’ve been waiting for a new release of that album for a long time now.I’ll get my name on the list if they are taking pre-orders. Excellent news that it is MoFi.
Joe Jackson “Mike’s Murder”
Mic Jagger “She’s the Boss”

Happy Friday to all.

Ray Brown Trio - Soular Energy. Concord Jazz 1985
Morton Gould conducts Shostakovich - Symphony No. 2 In C, Op. 14 ("To October") & Symphony No. 3 In E-Flat, Op. 20 ("May Day"). The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra & Chorus. RCA Red Seal 1968
Jim,

On side 4 now. This is such a wonderful record full of great musicianship. SQ is great but wish the SS was wider. It’s on Nonesuch, which has had some great records in the last few years. My copy is severely warped on lp 2 but my tired ole Sussurro tracks it like a champ. It’s not heavyweight vinyl, yet is quiet. Given this, Highly Recommended!!
A pair of freshly cleaned acquisitions from the recent estate sale on the TT tonight (still using the Linn):

Miles & Monk-At Newport 1973 Japan CBS
LZ-Physical Graffiti late 70’s Specialty
Records repress

@bkeske I can’t say I’ve ever heard your “reference LP”. Always fascinated by what people list as their reference.
Václav Neumann conducts Martinů - Symphony No. 1 & Inventions. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Supraphon 1978 Czechoslovakia

@j_husker  It’s a very good one. I’ve had the CD for years, and only recently finally snagged the LP….instant reference LP

John Mayall & Friends

1st track has some kind of defect that causes major skipping. Put it on next track, All is fine. Will send it back. SQ is superb, though.

Same issue on side two.  The first track on bother sides are very warped.
