Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO

Jim, you are going to love that album.  It's really outstanding jazz music and the recording captures the staging so well.  The vinyl is superb as is the plating and pressing.  I am joyous about adding this to my collection.

By the way, the picture is me at the summit of Mammoth Mountain.  It's my favorite ski destination and I was born in 1954.  Thus, my handle name.

One thing I noticed today….how quiet the Telefunken’s are as far as minimal ‘hiss’ coming from the speakers between LP’s with the sound up, and also that they have zero microphonics. My other newly manufactured tubes suffered a bit with microphonics. You could hear it even when tapping on the headshell slightly, more so by tapping the tubes themselves. The Telefunken’s are just dead quiet. Hard to believe they can not make newer tubes ‘in mass’ with the same properties.
The Dave Brubeck Quartet – Time Out (Columbia 1959 mono)

Forgot how good this is. This is how a drumkit sounds.
@noromance

@bkeske Good times. Have you tried the Nobsound springs under the amp?

I have them under the Hagerman. Only three, with a single spring in the middle of each.

My Belles 400A has cones.
Gotcha.

Oneohtrix Point Never - Zones Without People, RSD purple vinyl. Really nice pressing.

For me, the next step up from the Teles are Grant Fidelity’s Shuguang black 12AX7LS. Silent and even better in every respect. They do take at least 20 hours to open up though. They work best in the first phono gain stage.

I really wish this band would release their music on vinyl. Great band IMO.
Still trying to get the new listening room dialed in and failing miserably.

Supertramp-Breakfast in America Mofi

2 songs in and I’m not gonna make it much further. Room acoustics/speaker placement is all wrong.
Been there j_husker... It certainly can be frustrating. Especially if you're not in the mood for it.

Doing the bob and weave the whole time trying to find the sweet spot. This room is literally twice the sq ft of the previous listening room and I can’t seem to get the right set up for great soundstage.
