Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Stopped at estate sale on
my way home from work tonight that had a Yorx stereo system as the image for their ad on fb marketplace. I figured there might be some vinyl, since the system included a TT. Picked up 20 records for $1 each, including the
Miles Davis +19 Miles Ahead I am listening to now. This is the Columbia Jazz Masterpieces 1987 reissue. I aslo have the OG that I got from my father-in-law’s collection. It doesn’t sound as good as this one!
After that it’s the $1 John Coltrane Quartet-Coltrane “Custom Pressed on PREMIUM VIRGIN VINYL-AUDIOPHILE” (according to the hype sticker on the back).
King Crimson - Larks' Tongues In Aspic (Steven Wilson)

Huge Crimson fan, I like them all but this one has always been by far my favorite. Steven has some serious competition here as I have both the original US And UK pressings plus the 1987 EG Editions half-speed master. This comparison will take some time.
Nice finds J_Husker!

Middlemass,
That is a great album from them! My favorite from KC is "Red"

Toho Sarah / ST
This was made by some members of the "Acid Mothers Temple" band in 1995. It's weird but I like it. It is probably being played right now in an opium den somewhere.

@j_husker, lucky find! Nice.  Miles Ahead is my favorite MD record.  I have a nice Sailboat Cover mono copy and it sounds terrific.   I’m interested in hearing that 1987 Redux.  Is it stereofied?  Will be on the lookout for one.
@j_husker,

Those àre the kind of "honey holes" that are exciting to come across.

@slaw Steve, I love Garbage, and I think this is the best record they've put out in a long time.  I got the green vinyl and also the pink RSD version.  I played the green one.  It sounded really good for colored vinyl, very little noise.  It might be a little bass heavy for some, but I liked the production overall.

I see you've been getting into some more PJ Harvey.  I hope you're enjoying that.
Lots of new LP’s arrived today, unfortunately I worked until 9:00. But finally done, so will try getting through a couple…

@j_husker A relative is giving me 4 totes of records on Sunday. I have no idea what they could be. No clue. So that should be interesting. Not expecting anything but you never know.
Been traveling on vacation and missing playing records. Checking in and nice to see y'all hanging. Now we have a hurricane coming.  🌀
@slaw + 1 on Joan Shelley.  You introduced me to her music and I’ll be forever grateful.
