Joel,

These Craft Recordings lps are of a different source regarding vinyl and pressing plants. What one saves in dollars is not a recommendation I can make.

If I want a superior vinyl copy with a great mastering engineer, I'd go for the Intervention copy for an additional $12 bucks.
After working all day on this ‘observed’ July 4th, I am going to spin some American composers.

First up:

Szell conducts Samuel Barber - Concerto For Piano And Orchestra, Op. 38, Leonard Rose, piano & William Schuman - A Song Of Orpheus. The Cleveland Orchestra. Columbia Masterworks 1964

@boxer12, Hey Tim.  Do you know this band.  I like it when I’m in a certain musical frame of mind.   Apologies if I’ve already asked you this ….

Re: Chicago.   Has anyone heard Steven Wilson’s remix of Chicago II (Chicago)?
@big_greg, Hey friend, you probably know about the little independent record store in Vancouver, Everybody’s Music.  Anyway/eitherway, I was in there again Friday and filled a nice big bag of records.   They have more-than-fair priced used and the independent-only issues.  Many used right in my wheelhouse.  YMMV of course.
Hey Jim. Glad you’re enjoying it.  Somewhat edgy at times, more than my customary want but for some reason I’m into it.   Interesting story too.

you are correct about the new Sara Jheroz record - it’s excellent.  Bass player is way cool.  Wonder why it was shelved for so long.
Ha!  Was going to say that very thing except I thought of all the many children watching this thread and…..
Jose Serebrier conducts Charles Ives - Symphony No. 4. London Philharmonic Orchestra. RCA Red Seal 1974
Spiritofradio,
Thanks for the recommendation! Just listened to "Stump the panel" from them & that song alone is worth the price of admission.

Calexico / Black light
Gregory Alan Isakov, This Empty Northern Hemisphere. One of the best folk/bluegrass singer-songwriters.
I picked up a big pile of used records the other day and most of them have been original pressings or early reissues. James, thanks for the tip about everybody's. It wasn't on my radar.
Might be fun to collaborate on a thread of LRS - On My Radar..maybe have a few notable online sellers… different vibe…,

iF we do it, I got Rat City in Old Burien…
@big_greg  +1 on In Search Of The Lost Chord.  I played that a few days ago, it's one of my all time favorite Moody Blues albums.

Listening to a handful of albums recently played on my previous amplifier.  I'm looking for the difference in sound quality.  Oh my, what a difference there is.  Mid range, is just velvety.  Bottom end, is luscious.  I could go on, but, WOW this is awesome!

Hiking tomorrow (a medium Summer starter hike of 7.2 miles, round trip, with 2,400 feet of elevation gain).  Then a shower and more sonic delight with vinyl.  Have a nice evening, guys.

I have their Give It Back To You 2016 CD but not vinyl
Joel, I have a sealed early pressing of In Search of the Lost Chord that will now probably stay that way, this one sounded really good.  What amp did you get?
The Chemical Brothers - Dig Your Own Hole.  This is a limited edition (1,000 copies) on white vinyl.  If Discogs is any indication, it has increased in value since I bought it.  Kind of a funky pressing.  I'm on the 2nd disc and the first one was a lot louder.
@grey9hound I like that band but probably not enough (yet) to by their records.   I read that their live shows are great.   Have a great time at the concert.  I haven’t been back to a live music venue yet.  Really missing that.
