lol, sounds like a plan. Seriously, I may consider that set.

Took a nap, up next…

Paul Kletzki Conducts Mahler - Symphony #1. Wiener Philharmoniker. Angel reissue, release unknown, but guessing late 70’s per label.
Steve, I stopped by the record store today and picked up the live Norah Jones (I've streamed it and really liked it) and Lucinda.
Glad you're enjoying the Noteworthy Acoustic's interconnects Steve!

The Golden Palominos
truth be told, Norah could read a military tube cross referencing pinout guide in ancient Sumerian, and i would be there...at her feet....
@slaw

Steve, Target struck again, they had that Norah Live set for $26 shipped. Bought it. Seems like a bargain.
Reiner conducts Tchaikovsky - The Nutcracker. Chicago Symphony. RCA Red Seal ‘Living Stereo’ reissue late 60’s. Originally 1960
The Beatles ‎– Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (Parlophone 1967)

Stunningly quiet vinyl for such an old copy. Plays like new.
Michael Tilson Thomas conducts Walter Piston - Symphony No. 2 & William Schuman - Concerto For Violin And Orchestra. Boston Symphony Orchestra. Deutsche Grammophon 1971, German release
@big_greg     what do you think?  I am a huge TP fan and read a review that Lucinda really did an injustice.  The album isn't on Amazon HD for me to stream so haven't listened yet.
I'm on the third disc. I think it's wonderful. I like both Lucinda and Tom Petty. I think it's respectful without sacrificing her own style.

I’ve been curious about that Schuman Concerto.  How is it?

I’ve been curious about that Schuman Concerto.  How is it?

It’s engaging. Modern, and pretty intense. What you might expect for a young Tilson Thomas. Although it is a subjective thing whether you may like it or not.

I just finished listening to it, and although enjoyable, could not stop comparing it to Hilary’s Paris album. Which obviously isn’t fair 😉
Václav Neumann conducts Martinů - Symphonies 3,4,&5. The Czech Philharmonic Orchestra. Supraphon 1982 Czechoslovakia
@bkeske, streaming another version of the Schuman Violin concerto now.  At first I didn’t think it was available but found it on Spotify.  I really like it.
@spiritofradio

**William** Schuman Violin Concerto, right?

When I first bought that album, my mind immediately went to Robert Schumann, and it did not take me long to realize, wrong Schuman(n) 😁
Right.  Our great American composer.  Head of Juliard, Head of Lincoln Center, Pulitzer winner.
Been curious about this work for I don’t k ow how long.  First time through it just now.  I think it’s great.
@spiritofradio 👍🏼

Boulez conducts Schoenberg - Serenade Op. 24. Orchestre Du Domaine Musical. Everest reissue 1960’s. Originally 1960.

Really like how this was recorded. It puts you right in the room. Intimate and close, yet spacious.
Waking up before yard work…

Joni Mitchell - For the Roses. Asylum reissue 1974, originally 1972

Good morning Steve.  Can you be more specific about the Dave Matthews box?   Probably want to get that.
James,

Honestly, most people are in the "don't like camp" when it concerns Dave Matthews.

This "Live" box.......SQ is awesome! More over, the musicianship is perfect.

What else is there to say?
