Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
@big_greg you should hear the 45rpm version pressed by pallas in Germany.  It is like a different version of the album it is so good!
@pops I have that also.  I listened to it the other night.  I've been thinning out my collection and played the other one to see if it was worth keeping.  The Alternate Rumours is also really nice.
A rare lunchtime LP listen for me. Just received in the mail from a discogs seller.....

RUSH - "All the World's a Stage"

2015 Rush Re-Master. One of the better Discogs experience I've had. Perfectly graded, well packaged, arrived early. Not a value price, but worth it to get a great copy.

Rush Live on vinyl, as it was meant to be.............
Robert Craft conducts Schoenberg - The Music of Arnold Schoenberg Vol. VI. Columbia Chamber Ensemble. Columbia Masterworks 2LP box set. Unknown exact release date, but per ‘2 eye’ label, probably late 60’s.

Man, this is a nice recording. Only my second spin of this set.
Finishing up "All the World's a Stage"

"What a show, what a show. Man o man, I guess that's it......."
“Super-sax Plays Bird”
“Summertime” Paul Desmond
followed by some Sinatra recordings....
Last week i think it was. i mentioned Boz Scaggs "Dig" Album
Well I had just got it .I paid $20 plus shipping for the RE Double LP 180G vinyl. I thought that was a pretty good deal amd it is probably my favorite Boz Scaggs Album". Memphis" would be my next fav..
Anyway to get to my point. The album had issues it was king of dirty and had several smears on it., Side "D" started skipping in a loop right after the first. there is only two songs on that side . I notified the guy that I purchased from on Discogs and he refunded my money and told me to  keep it..
So iI proceeded to find another seller . They was actually 2 people that had at least brand new one Re Sealed for $20. well i chose the seller and put it in my cart. But i  accidentally, put in Qty of 2 . I think I clicked on purchase ,but i had to wait for the seller to get back with total including shipping., which he did the next day . .when he sent me the total is when i realized what I had done  So . I emailed the seller and asked if he could remove the 2nd one that I had made a mistake.... No response , for like 3 days . Then I sent him another message and ask him to please not wait until the allotted time for me to make the payment, and then leave me negative feedback for non- payment.
He said that he could not alter my cart, but that they were no longer available anyway.. ...so he canceled the order.
 So they both sold as well as the one other guy had for $20 ..New sealed RE.
So I looked around and the next cheapest new on was 23.98 and there is one for 24.95 after that  they are all $30 and above .
I am just wondering if someone or some 3 read the thread and my post and decided to buy it.
I thought it kind of interesting. i do think they are a lot of people who look at or read the thread for Album suggestions.
there may be a lot more than we realize, because I think there are  many  people who are Mute and do not post.

One of my many copies of The Moody Blues - On The Threshold of a Dream.  This one sounds great and is close to NM.  This one may be the keeper.
Lunchtime listening again.......

Timbuk 3 - "Greetings from......."

I've had this since it was first released. Every time I listen to it I think I enjoy it more than the previous listen.
E.L.O.  'Face The Music'  Cleaned on the Degritter and is noticeably nicer than it has sounded in the past.  Great album!

Joni Mitchell  'Hejira'  I bought this on Discogs NM/M- and it arrived Wednesday.  It looked flawless but was dusty.  I cleaned it on the Nitty Gritty and then in the Degritter.  Immaculate to the eye.  Played it and, darn, noisy as can be.  I mean, a lot of noise.  Could it be a lousy pressing?  Could it have been previously played often on a worn, conical stylus?  A combination of these issues?  The music is wonderful but what a disappointment of the vinyl.  I'll try another "heavy" deep cleaning on the Degritter and hope for the best.  Any suggestions are welcome.
Installed two ADD/POWR eau2 today, one on each dedicated line. Playing "Middle Cyclone", an lp I'm very familiar with, there seems to be an ease to the overall presentation, kind of an additional dimension to the soundstage and lower piano registers are more clear and defined. More listening needed.
@mammothguy54

Hope you get it sorted. I hate when that happens, especially when the vinyl ‘looks’ great.

But, you got me to pull mine and give it a spin...

Joni Mitchell - Hejira. Asylum 1976

Oh.....and finally, after considering it for weeks....just put my order in for a Hagerman Trumpet phono pre. Can’t wait to get that baby into the chain. I’m excited.
Brian, enjoy the new phono stage.  It is so awesome to add a new component into the system and experience the results.  I'm addicted, but do need to watch the budget.  This hobby/addiction can get very expensive.  But oh, so good! 😊

Enjoy it in good health.
@mammothguy54

Thanks man, (and Steve), and I agree, both with the fun of adding, but also watching the budget. Fingers crossed that this stage performs as well as I’ve heard from those who own one. If it does, it could very well be an ‘end game’ component. And also allows me to venture into a high quality MC cart in the future....mmmmm....see? you are right, it never stops....😄
@simao  - Yep, it's a good one. So far, all of the Rush remasters I've bought are really good. Better than the original pressings for me.

@bkeske
Wow,
Enjoy that Hagerman . I would love to be able to afford that. The Positive Feedback review of the Trumpet Reference, makes me lust for one. One day in about ten years (retirement if i last that long), I can own something like that. Congratulations.

To everyone , between the Moon 110Lp and the Project Tube Box Ds2, I like the Project better and that is with stock tubes , whatever they are . Getting ready to do some Tube Rollin’...Soon.
I have a Perfect micro mirror matched pair of 12AX7 Telefunkens 1960s west Germany to try.
AND in the other direction, I have a Perfect micro mirror matched pair of 12AX7 Mullard original 1950s D getter Old Shield logos very low micronics. Surely they will be better than stock tubes.
Both of these came from Andy @ Vintage Tube Services
here is another that peaks my interest.
