Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1
Been out of the loop a while.  My NAD 7020 was acting up, and rather than getting it serviced (again) I thought I would retire it and get something new.  My, how the market has changed!  All I wanted was an integrated amp with a rec out, and there are so few in my budget.  I tested a Marantz PM6006 and just did not like the sound.   Finally purchased a refurbed Cambridge Audio Topaz SR 20 from the company web site for $425.  It is working very well with my Linn Axis turntable and ELAC Debut 6.2 speakers.  Tested them out with:

Blind Faith “Blind Faith”
SFX “6/11/87”
The Holy Light “I’ve Had It Hard”
George Harrison “George Harrison”

A copy of Some Girls on orange vinyl. It has the original sleeve with all the celebrity photos. Sounds great!
Camel - “I can see your house from here”

Volto - “Incitare”

Harmony Rockets - “Lachesis - Clotho - Atropos”

Jonny Greenwood - “There will be blood” soundtrack

Khruangbin - “Con todo el mundo”

Mono - “No Where Now Here”

And now I’ll probably fall asleep to a new 180g German pressing of

Keith Jarrett
Charlie Haden - “Last Dance”

Tom Petty - Pack Up the Plantation. Live. I don't even know where this (double) album came from. It might have been my wife's or I may have won it on a radio contest (back in the day).  I won a lot of those in med school. Not many other people calling in at 3:00 a.m. Vinyl is clean.
Cowboy Junkies "All That Reckoning"

My second listen confirms that this title seems to lack the "soul" of quite a few of their earlier lps.
@slaw  : I'm still getting into the Cowboy Junkies. So far I have found Lay It Down to be their most engaging album and I really like it a lot. What others ones do you like?
The Psychedelic Furs  - Talk Talk Talk  - almost mint OP, excellent
Chet Baker - Chet Baker Quartet- Sam Records
@n80,

I haven't heard them all nor the one you refer to, if I had there would likely be more, but here are my favorites in order:

"The Trinity Sessions"
"The Trinity Sessions Revisited"
"Whites Off Earth Now" (MFSL)
"Demons" ( this is in memory of Vic Chesnutt )
"Sing in my Meadow"
"The Wilderness"

The MCC lp is wonderful. It plays dead quiet. It did arrive warped.
………………………………...
Shovels & Rope "Little Seeds"

Side one was is so warped I won't play it until I flatten it.
I’ve got some warped albums. Mostly thin 1980s stuff. How do you fix that?
Jackie Brown Soundtrack ……..warped, yet sounding very good. In addition to the music, it’s pretty cool hearing Sam Jackson delivering several of his signature lines in your listening room.
Regarding:  Eels "The Deconstruction"...…..

When "Wonderful, Glorious" was released a few years ago, it was kind of a big deal in certain circles. So, what happened here?

I don't know but it's sounding really good. I'd say it deserves at least, the attention "W,G" received. If you're a fan, you should seek it out.
MC5 "The Motor City Five" ROG

vinyl is dead flat
…………………………..
Humble Pie "Smokin'"  OP
I decided "Smokin'" is just going to wait until after...
Sufjan Stevens "Illinoise"
The only way to try and top that......

Aretha Franklin "Aretha's Gold"    MFSL/45rpm
Post removed
David Bowie "Let’s Dance"

Having this thread to myself is somewhat unusual...…………….
Sorry Slaw, I’ll keep you company. I love that Chet Atkins-Mark Knopfler record.   I just have it on CD though.  Didn’t even know it was issued on vinyl.

This afternoon I listened to the Mendelssohn - “Scottish Symphony”

Williams - “The Lark Ascending” (Tasmin Little on the Violin)

Duke Ellington - “Blues in Orbit”

and then went and saw Greenbook.  Nice little sentimental movie.
Dawn Patrol ... Nightranger.

Have three Nightranger albums and this one is by far the best sq.
Steely Dan-“Katy Lied”
Curtis Mayfield- “Give, Get, Take and Have”

Was away up North where I am mostly digital...so binging on analog today in the SUN !!!!!

Dead 45 RPM MFSL American Beauty ( as recommended there on this thread )
John Fogarty - Deja Vu all Over Again..ditto, thank you whoever posted that up...
Rachmaninoff - Symphonic dances - Oue Minnesota- Reference Recordings
Bryan Ferry - Boys and Girls
Allen Toussaint - The Bright Mississippi ....

what is next ?
