Whats on your turntable tonight?

For me its the first or very early LP's of:
Allman Brothers - "Allman Joys" "Idyllwild South"
Santana - "Santana" 200 g reissue
Emerson Lake and Palmer - "Emerson Lake and Palmer"
and,
Beethoven - "Piano Concerto No. 4 in G Major" Rudolph Serkin/Ozawa/BSO
slipknot1

@vair68robert Yep, it’s a good one, and actually pretty good SQ for a very small label. I picked it up in the early/mid-70’s for probably a dollar or so used. Now, rare and a bit pricey. Lucky to have it. I think it’s better than Circle Round The Sun, which was basically the same LP redone in a ‘pro’ studio a year later.

I have all Leo’s stuff through the 70’s on vinyl, a couple newer on CD, but did pick up his newest on vinyl, Noon with Mike Gordon.

A huge Leo fan.

I saw him in the mid-70’s at a small club. Incredible. You swear there had to be 3-4 guitars playing. Amazing.

Great album , I saw him for the first time in the early 70's at the Quite Knight in Chicago .

I have almost all of his albums !

Leo Kottke - 12 String Blues. Leo’s first recording, recorded live at The Scholar Coffeehouse, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Oblivion 1969

Fairport Convention - S/T (in the US, ‘What We Did on Our Holiday’ in the UK). A&M reissue, believe 1976, originally 1969

Dylan - Blonde on Blonde - Mofi 45rpm

Doors - Morrison Hotel - AP 45rpm

The Beatles - Abbey Road - 50th anniversary reissue - hot damn this is a great sounding record

The Jimi Hendrix Experience - Are You Experienced.  Reprise reissue 1973, originally 1967

The Moody Blues  -  To Our Children's Children's Children

Terry Allen  -  Just Like Moby Dick   I close my eyes and could swear that Terry is in front of me, singing directly at me.

Muddy Waters  -  Folk Singer   The soundstage, imaging, and depth on this record is astounding.

Last Night:

Dead Can Dance - Aion
Dead Can Dance - The Serpents Egg
Lorena. McKennitt - Live in Paris and Toronto
2001 A Space Oddesey - Soundtrack (1968)
The Perth County Conspiracy- Does Not Exist
Yello - Toy
JEFTA Oratorium Carissimi (Proprius)

Fleetwood Mac / Rumours
2009 Reprise RE, orig. 1977 Warner

Another fabulous LP, content and sonics that are really off the chart. An earlier post I commented on the freaky cover art on Heroes Are Hard To Find. This cover seems less odd, but hold on— What the hey is hanging from Mick’s crotch??!! LOL!!

Grateful Dead / American Beauty
2003 Warner Bros. 180g RE, orig. 1970

High Fidelity is back, just a great record! The cover is an ambigram, does it say “American Beauty” or “American Reality”?

Rolling Stones / It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll
1974 Rolling Stones Records

Great music, sonics could and should be better—maybe it’s my copy?
