Melody Gardot, Live in Europe. First time playing it and I’m liking it.

I’m listening to Bill Evans, Live At Ronnie Scott’s.  Sheesh, I just realized that I have 35 Bill Evans albums. 😁

Just picked up a couple of albums by Hiromi. Voice, and Spark are the names of the albums. Modern/Fusion jazz.

I’m really enjoying them.

@spiritofradio

Thanks for the welcome back!  “You must believe in spring”, is another great album.  I just got “Under Current” and “Another Time”.
There’s just something about the way he “Tickles The Ivory’s “ that I really enjoy! I also just got a copy of The Red Garland Trio, “At the Prelude”  I think it’s also very good, but it is just not as impromptu(?). I’m not sure of the correct word I’m looking for.

@curiousjim 👍 The Resonance issues are (most all) fantastic aren’t they.  Do you have “Some Other Time” too.  I think it’s my favorite of the Resonance issues.

No I don’t, but I guess I’ll have to order it.

Darn.😁

@bkeske

For an album that originally got panned, Ram has been one of my favorites since it came out!

Listening to Cass McCombs, Tip Of The Sphere (Deluxe Edition) in HR.
Sounds kind of like something David Bowie might of done if he were still around.

Nuthin wrong with an Eva Cassidy afternoon.  I might have to have one as well😀

@jjbeason14

I listened to Exile on Main Street today as well and the new Rolling Stones album Grrr Live! Not bad👍🏻

@loomisjohnson

I just streamed their title album and am listening to Honor Among Thieves now.

Good pick!

artful dodger, "rave on"-- swansong from a great, underappreciated guitar pop band somewhere between badfinger and the small faces (the singer sounds a lot like steve marriott). never on cd, afaik, but you can find it on youtube.

Playing Herbie Hancock, Head Hunters. Might have to get a replacement, I’ve played it a lot!

@noromance

I vaguely remember The Mary Travers, Mary album. I looked at Qobuz and it isn’t there.  I wonder if there’s a vinyl copy out there, that I could afford 😉

@bkeske

Burgers is a great album.

@noromance

Four Guys Named Moe.  What a fun album. Lots of energy.

@bslon

Other than Rolene, I’d never heard anything else. So today I’m going through some of his albums now.

Thanks for the tip.😁

@bslon

War has some just downright fun songs.I saw them years ago and the only active member was Leroy Jordon , the singer and writer of most of their songs.

It was a good evening.

Hi @dayglow

I don’t have the vinyl but how many total tracks are there? On Qobuz and Amazon there’s just 9. Is that the same?

Thanks.

BTW, Great Album!

So there’s a a 50th anniversary release of Badfinger’s Head First album.  It was out  12/13/2024 and I can’t find it anywhere. All sources are out of stock and it’s not on any of the streaming services.

Anyone hear what’s going on?
