Sheryl Crow-June 10th

Tedeschi Trucks Band-August 1st

Bonnie Raitt-September 25th

Plus maybe a couple of more...

Victor Wooten is playing 4/12 at Sony Hall in Manhattan.  Unfortunately I can’t go but very highly recommended.  He’s phenomenal.

Peter Noone (aka Herman's Hermits) in just a few short weeks.  In the Poconos.

@feldmen4...SWEET!  The Cowboy Junkies are one of my favorite bands.  I have never missed a show here in Colorado, seen them half a dozen times or so.  Unfortunately, the summer of 2022 was the last time they were here.  They just added, this morning, some more shows, but not here  :-(

Have a GREAT time!

Thanks @mofimadness. We typically see the Junkies 5-10 times per year if at all possible. They’re shows are always great.

Also was interested in your Red Rocks post - our son just started grad school at CO School of Mines so hoping to catch my first RR show soon!

@feldmen4...sure hope you get to go to Red Rocks.  It's like no other place to see a show.  Been there hundreds of times.  One of my favorite places on earth.  I'd live there if they'd let me. cheeky

Keb Mo, Lake Street Dive, Joe Bonamassa, handful of classical events. All with either my children and or grandchildren. They are vets. My daughter has been with me three of the seven times I’ve seen Bonnie Raitt. Six year old grandson was brought up on stage to sing and dance with Michael Franti last summer.  This how I flex.

My next concerts are 5/15-5/17, leaving Virginia to head to Vegas for a three night run of Dead and Co at the sphere. Did 2 weekends run on their last residency, I think I’m gonna to go out for closing weekend as well.

Nothing on the calendar until July when Lucinda Williams opens (???) for Father John Misty in Shelburne VT.

Seeing Jason Isbell at the Fox Theater in Detroit in June.
For the Cowboy Junkie fans, Check out the album Streetlights by the Michigan based band The Whiskey Charmers.  Tasteful guitar-driven rock / alt-country with great songwriting

@mofimadness.  Spot on about the magic of Red Rocks.  So many wonderful memories of shows there, including a near-legendary night with Chuck Mangione playing under a lunar eclipse.  I am in the Colorado Symphony Chorus and so I’ve had the good fortune of performing a number of times at Red Rocks.  One of the most fun was singing backup to the Flaming Lips in 2016 when they played the entire Soft Bulletin album to a packed house of adoring fans, a performance available on an album.  I have pictures of myself with Wayne Coyne taken in the bowels under the stage as souvenirs.  Having stood on that stage, flanked by the red cliffs and seeing thousands of cheering fans in that amphitheater, I can see why performers lick their chops for the opportunity to play there and lay down such amazing performances there.

Speaking of wonderful concerts, we (the Colorado Symphony, Symphony Chorus, Colorado Children’s Chorale and soloists) are performing Orff’s Carmina Burana this very weekend.  Everyone should hear Carmina Burana live at least once.  Come check it out!

@77jovian...that is SO COOL!  I’ve been to Red Rocks many, many, many times over the past 50 years and still find it magical & ethereal.

My claim to fame is that I have been present at quite a few "filmed" concerts at Red Rocks.

Stevie Nicks Live At Red Rocks

U2 Under A Blood Red Sky

Goo Goo Dolls Live At Red Rocks

Rickie Lee Jones Live At Red Rocks

Bad Company Live At Red Rocks

Saw the Moody Blues with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Amos Lee with the Symphony.  Those were FANTASTIC shows!

One of my fondest memories was the first time the Indigo Girls played there.  It was drizzling and spitting rain all day.  You could see the lightening and dark clouds back behind the stage as the storm was moving in.  As soon as they came out and starting playing "Secure Yourself", (with the first line of the song being "Secure yourself to heaven, hold on tight the night has come") they both raised their arms up to the heavens...and it stopped raining.  It stayed dry until right after their 3rd encore.  The second the lights popped on, it started pouring rain.  By the time we got back to the car, there was at least 2 inches of water on the ground and continued for the rest of the night.  It’s like the deluge stopped for them to perform then just let go...what a supernatural night!  I will never forget...

Have a GREAT weekend and hope your concert goes well!!!

@mofimadness Those are wonderful memories.  You and I probably passed each other at one or more of those concerts.  If I ever spilled a beer in your lap, I apologize!

Robin Trower at Salisbury Beach in June.  Just saw the Experience Hendrix tour at Lynn Auditorium.

This thread has me listening to the Cowboy Junkies , and it’s been a bit thanks. My CD’s are packed away and I wanted to listen to the 4 song EP from ‘92. Neither Qbuzz or Tidal offer it, bummer. Now I’ve got to dig out that darn CD. That was a tough one to find back in the day. Cheers to all.
