@mofimadness. Spot on about the magic of Red Rocks. So many wonderful memories of shows there, including a near-legendary night with Chuck Mangione playing under a lunar eclipse. I am in the Colorado Symphony Chorus and so I’ve had the good fortune of performing a number of times at Red Rocks. One of the most fun was singing backup to the Flaming Lips in 2016 when they played the entire Soft Bulletin album to a packed house of adoring fans, a performance available on an album. I have pictures of myself with Wayne Coyne taken in the bowels under the stage as souvenirs. Having stood on that stage, flanked by the red cliffs and seeing thousands of cheering fans in that amphitheater, I can see why performers lick their chops for the opportunity to play there and lay down such amazing performances there.
Speaking of wonderful concerts, we (the Colorado Symphony, Symphony Chorus, Colorado Children’s Chorale and soloists) are performing Orff’s Carmina Burana this very weekend. Everyone should hear Carmina Burana live at least once. Come check it out!
