Speaker in car boot on hot day

I'm very sorry for wasting your time with such a stupid question, I deep down know it's fine, but I just wanna be sure, I'm a little OCD, as you can probably tell.

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I drive this car: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/2020-mg-mg3-core-auto-my20/SHRM-AD-6089752/?Cr=1

I bought this: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/amazon-echo-with-alexa-gen-4-twilight-blue

I put it in the boot, which I believe is called a trunk in America. I didn't take it out of the box, or the bag. I did some other stuff after, so it was in there for about four hours. It seems like a fairly hot day today.

After doing a tiny bit of research, it seems like heat can damage a speaker. However, I'm too lazy to read the details, I'm sure it has to be in circumstances very different to this.

But just confirming, there's no chance it will make even a tiny difference to the sound, right? I mostly got it for the music.

You are too lazy to read the details presented by the mfg. concerning this speaker so you write a post where you'll have to read a lot of different people's opinions about it. Makes sense to me.

Cross-link rubbers found in speakers melt at a very high temperature. If it is hot enough to melt your dashboard you need to worry. Otherwise there is no issue.
Now the battery that is a different story. Heat can and will kill lithium batteries.

You have likely damaged the kniffle bearings.

Operator error-no warranty claim for you.
It will be fine. If not, bring it back to the store. Worst case, you're out $119.
Closed car interiors often exceed the outside temp by 30F-50F after just an hours time.

This said, car speakers and stereo systems seem to survive such conditions.

I wouldn't sweat it.

Well one thing for sure, if when you hook em up it seems they sound a bit warmer, it's not your imagination.
Hello,
Let the speakers adjust to your home or office for a day or two before you turn it on or connect it. Heat and cold can move materials. In the US we bring in the wood flooring into the space where it will be installed and leave it there for 72 hours. This will also help for condensation that may occur. Just to be on the safe side. Just don’t leave records or other media in your car. You will ruin them or at least the jacket of the record.

Do you worry about the car stereo speakers in rear deck that the sun on shines through the back window on all day every day?

Do you think that they were delivered from the manufacture to the store in a temperature controlled container? How many days do you think they sat in the back of the semi container before delivered and off loaded? How long did they sit in the warehouse in heat? How many days was the box in a container on the hot ship crossing the ocean to get to the semi that took it to the warehouse where it was picked up and delivered to the store? Get my point
Umm, it’s the middle of winter here in Australia, max temp last 5 days in Melbourne has been around 13 Celsius and mostly overcast can hardly be described as a hot day. Op should check his sat nav that he is actually in Melbourne. This post reads suspect to me.
Nice ride, I bet you’re good to go.

Don’t sweat asking a silly question, I do it all the time! (Most all questions on this site would be better answered by reading or consulting a subject expert.)

If you were somehow able to drain this site of silliness, it would likely implode.
