Schiit - shipments stopped?

Think they have stopped shipping, maybe ceased ops.

business failures do happen.

my order placed end of nov and no word.  I email and receive generic replies.

@ emergingsoul You are lucky, try to order something from Decware their waiting list as of today is 22 weeks according to Steve Deckert.I will be ordering an amp within the next few days I won’t get it until August, all good things come to he who waits.

Sooo, because you are having an issue with one order, your go to thought is that they have ceased operations?
Malaysia and Phillipines are very common packaging locations for ICs. They are experiencing big outbreaks and this has put a severe shortage on the semiconductor industry as has issues throughout the supply chain.
Ah USPS
I ordered from Netherlands. It got one town away from me in two weeks. Then it looped from Chgo to Atlanta and back and back and back for a month. I officially refused it. Then they tried delivering it in 3 weeks when I already had received a replacement from CA.
And that was in July, August.
Problems with suppliers is the issue , happening on a wide scale .
limited staff and overseas parts even more limited due to customs holding up incoming for over 2 weeks . I donot recommend at all us postal ,it took 3 weeks or two orders to go 200 miles during the holidays .
Yute is short for YouTubeRefrigerators had more stock months ago than now. Do I gotta explain everything?

Good one +1
@fuzztone - I bought a refrigerator a couple of months ago....should I call them back and get the extended warranty?  It is (almost) full of beer, a commodity that doesn’t seem to have been affected by COVID, thank goodness.
The more I read this thread the more convinced I become that the OP has found his way onto Dean Wormer's double-secret probation list....

Omg, for freya plus it states IN PRODUCTION, SHIPS 7-10 DAYS.
of course when shipped this adds time, AND a tracking number.

my item was ordered 2 months ago. Clearly this language is misleading. Via received email, they are unable to advise when product will ship. This is sign of a clear problem.

Preamps are a serious problem. Interested in any comments about preamp receipt.

the supply chain in all categories has seen some serious upheaval. Audio electronic equipment included.

all audio manufacturers are having issues with parts procurements and labor due to , guess what? Covid.
Especially in California.
So have a scotch, put your slippers on and relax, Max!
I ordered a Jotunheim R last Thursday night, it shipped Friday and it is arriving this Thursday with standard shipping. My third piece of Schiit :)
I ordered my Freya+ in early December.  They said it was backordered at the time.

I emailed them last week and received an immediate reply.  They are waiting for parts.  They expect delivery and resumed production in the next week or so.

Hope that helps.

BTW, you have a 30-60 wait for a bit of audio these days.  Folks waited months for Magnepan LRS when they came out.  Some don't even build until an order is placed.
I received my shipment yesterday. Two weeks from ordering.  Had one enquiry and received prompt and polite response.
The electronics supply chain is absolute disaster these days. Part shortages galore. They may simply be not able to build all models.
@emerging soul  Are you familiar with the concept of a production run, and what kind of cycle they tend to follow when the company is relatively small?
OP,
Website shows Freya Plus "In Production". When it moves to "In Stock", will ship in 7-10 Days. I purchased one same way last year and it took four weeks to ship because was in production. Perfect storm with Holidays and CA tight Covid regs. Might be worth waiting a couple more weeks. The Freya Plus is always in crazy high demand. They often sell an entire production lot before they are done. Cheers.

Nope.

Why don’t you email them?

Bad news for you, we are in the middle of a deadly global pandemic.

Try buying a refrigerator.

Darn right it’s popular. I almost ordered one myself after the Yute on it. And I have no use for another preamp
If you ordered after the vid dropped you are in a LONG line. You can cancel and the buyer behind you will thank ya.

And what does "on base%" have to do with it????????
It’s about preamps, not the other products.

I am not sure what’s going on with their preamps.

Order is for a freya plus pre.  Website Says 7 to 10 days to receive.  Their cust svc phone number is answered by a machine which says to email.

this is all very suspicious. Are they still manuf?  Or just shipping avail inventory.

over 2 months and unclear what’s going on.

Emerging soul.  The Schiit Audio Website clearly does NOT say, 7 to 10 days to receive.  It says they will resume shipping in 7 to 10 days. That you can't understand this clear simple language and have started a second thread on the same misinformed opinion(2 threads in 5 days), says that you should probably never order anything online again, for your own peace of mind.

But since you are obviously having issues, I'll try to explain it to you.  Schiit Audio will occasionally be out of stock on an item.  They give the best estimate at the time, of when they will resume shipping on an item and sometimes no estimate is possible.

They will not update an estimate until new facts emerge allowing them to make a new estimate.  So, they should start shipping in 7 to 10 days, but that does not mean yours will ship at that time.  There may be up to 100 customers that ordered theirs ahead of you, the Freya+ is that popular.  So it might not be until a further week before your preamp it shipped.  At that point, your credit card will be charged.

Then it has to travel to you.  If you are in the US, that means probably under 5 further days.  If you are overseas, it could be a lot longer.  If you are unhappy with this scenario, then instead of cluttering this forum up with multiple threads on the same topic, simply email Schiit audio requesting a refund.  in this email, include your order or invoice number.

Then go to your nearest audio store, and ask them what preamps they have in stock.  Buy one of those.
As you can see from the older thread below, sometimes Schiit does not ship as quickly as you think your Schiit should ship. Others in this thread indicated they got their Schiit pronto. If you can’t get your Schiit quick enough to make you happy you should buy something else, and not try to make up a story about Schiit not being in, or going out of business, just because you are unhappy that you can’t get your Schiit.

I realized the OP is on his bandwagon  and has zero interest in getting off, but I ordered a Bifrost 2 on 12/20/20. It was backordered for a short while with an indicated shipping date of 1/15/21.

It actually shipped last week on 1/7/21 and my Fedex account shows it will arrive by tomorrow. (Note that is Fedex saying that, not Schiit.)

This is after ordering a Saga+ and Aegir in early December and receiving both of them on 12/19/20.

So things are working fine from my perspective. Wondering if the OP has worked his way onto the Schiit list. (Sorry, couldn't resist....)

The don’t have a phone number. Website says ships in 7 to 10 days.  This is kinda misleading.
Their phone is listed as (323) 230-0079."Kinda misleading" to suggest the company has no phone, eh?
