Quieter Amp Replacement for Crown XTi 6002 ?

Perreaux 2150B - 340/680/920wpc @8/4/2 ohms. Can usually be found on eBay for around $900. Excellent amp! I have one. No need to spend a lot! 

Are your speakers Altec A7 VOTT’s? Those have a 15 inch woofer crossed over at 800 hz to an 811 horn. They are over 95 db sensitivity and can be driven by a 10  watt amp.

Just get a subwoofer Bash amp, about the same power as that crown and much better suited for woofer duty.

disconnect fan and replace it with water cooling instead. I like that crown amp TBH.

The Parasound A23+ should be on your list. High current, Class A/AB, 150wpc/8 ohms. Available new <$2k, used much less. 

Hi, thanks for all your replies.  I noticed some of the amp suggestions are rated much less than what the driver specs are (8 ohms, AES Power handling 1400W, Maximum Power Handling 2800W).  How would that affect performance?
