Pass Labs or Devialet

Having thoughts on two integrated amps.  Devialet 220 or a Pass Labs INT-250.

At the moment the speakers  are the Pioneer S-ex1’s with a pair of Rels G1’s subs.

Using PSAudio Direct Stream with Roon and OPPO 205 for discs.

My other smaller room is a separate system the Kii threes, but that is another topic.

Any thoughts?

I had used Pass Labs Amplifiers with Wilson Audio Speakers for many years, before moving to a Devialet 200, 400 and now 440. I stream music directly from my Router to the 440 and control all functions of the music and amplifiers via smart-phone or tablet from any room in the House. The Devialet is a pleasure to use, with discreet asthetics, light-weight, cool-running, low-energy consumption and sounds excellent powering my Sasha 2 Speakers. I haven’t had any service issues with the 3 Devialet Amplifiers that I have owned during the past 4 years. Sound-wise they both have their strengths and weaknesses; the differences are a matter of personal preference, though the Devialet is by far the easier to live with, for reasons previously stated.
i vote American made Pass Labs i won't even read all that
let's get that right
FWIW, I've made the final choices for my amp and source.

After a full day of integrated amp auditions, Pass Labs int 250, MSB ADC V Discrete DAC/streamer with second power supply, and the base Roon. Should be all set. Will order everything January 2, 2020. Can't wait.
I have said this before Pass Labs will work on almost any equipment that they  have ever manufactured. Some of the Best customer service in the industry fixed right the first time.  I have also had the same service from PS Audio from Paul, his son Scott and any employee that picks up the phone. It's all about AFTER the sale even on used gear. They answer email promptly even on general questions. Purchased the top of the AV receiver 8805 that had big issues at less than a year, it took 5 phone calls just to get a callback and that was the rep calling because I just gave up. Purchased an Arcam 860 so far so good.
Does the company care about their product or just making money. If you make a fantastic product at a good price you should stand behind it theses companies do!! More than just a name on a box
Pass, of course.
I've heard Devialet on a few occasions and never really liked the sound. Actually it sounds pretty bad.

Since you since you now own both, you can tell s which you prefer after you have had time with both. I have never auditioned passlabs products, but I’m sure they are very nice. I do own a devialet d200 and it pairs quite well with my Focal arias.
Pass Labs of course. Big difference in sound. Pass in more “natural” , devialet is to “clinical”. You can buy both, but after a while, youg gonna sell the Devialet on 2-hands one eBay. I’m sure of it.
OK, seriously you might consider the Rogue Cronus Magnum, I think they’re up to their third version, but if phono is not a consideration the 2 version would be great.  Outstanding reviews for all versions, easy on the wallet, too.
Sandydennis11,
You would think with all the homeless heroin addicts you would have lots of choices to cuddle with and keep warm!  No nearby forrest fires, either?
I can’t comment on the Devialet. But I can tell you that Pass Labs units are well built and elegant. Plus if you have a problem they will take care of you. I have no experience with Devialet.

I decided to buy both an added a pair of Tads CR-1’s.
Easy as *** to drive these 88db Tads and mostly 4ohm.
Just one grey area at 30-40hz where there is a combination of 4ohms and 48 degrees of -phase angle, which combined will look to the amp as around <2ohms.
But were talking low organ/double bass/electric synthesizer lows here, and this is where the Pass will probably shine through better, but even better still for that area a Gryphon Diablo 300 or 120 integrated.

Thanks for the input.
I decided to buy both an added a pair of Tads CR-1's.
Will pay with both for different size rooms.
The Pass will be great to help warm up that room as it has no heat vent.  its freezing here in San Francisco ,like 54 degrees.
I agree that the Pass sounds different.

In the range, consider also Ayre and Luxman.

Between those three you are sure to hear a strong preference.

The only advantage that the Devialet 220 has over the Pass is its slim line ergo friendly appearance. This may be an important consideration if the amp is to be used in a multi purpose living space. Imho, on a purely performance basis, the Pass hands down.
I personally like the Pass better than the Devialet but it all depends on your speakers and other associated gears (your upstream electronics such as your front end source components).
Not familiar with your Pioneer speakers.
