Mystère IA21 Tubed Integrated Amplifier - The Absolute Soundv

Mystere is built in the same factory as Prima Luna and is designed by the same team.  It is a more purist form of Prima Luna. 

Whats considered a good price? Its several years old even though its barely used.  
 

was looking at the Williston R8 also.  
 

the Mystere is somewhat local.  There isnt a lot of info out there other than 2 reviews 

Read the review supplied by Yogi. The main concern is the high output impedance supplied by this amplifier. One needs to know the impedance characteristics of the speaker one wishes to use it with.

Its the same model but local to me from individual and less money

It's a nice amp. Maybe more "tubey" sounding and quality build comparing others in the price point.

Speaker choice as with most, is paramount.

yogiboy- It's a 12 year old amp. Compare it with the $3K tube amps of that time.

Some of the features-pentode output(most are ultralinear/triode) stepped volume and the build detail make it stand out. 

The OP likely is looking at close to, if not 1/2 the price, so it's a good deal. He just needs to find a pair of speakers that sound good to his ears.

its around $1200  and has 12hrs on it. female owns it.   is harving some hard times and has sold off all her Klipsch speakers and this is the last piece.

I told her keep it a while longer.  she can always pick up more klipsch but she will not find more of that same amp.

im probably going to buy something like a Willseton R8 because it has a remote. hers does not.

+1 @yogiboy - That LSA amp  an impressive suggestion, I was surprised at the high quality sonic performance available brand new at this price point. Not many in high-end audio but this looks like a bargain.
