A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair. @vthokie83 I have researched the Volti Razz. Living in southern Illinois allows a trip to the factory for a listen. I have to say that i think they may be too much for my room.
Any US manufacturer of a 845 SET amplifier @decooney I never did purchase the LM845. Stayed with separates. I purchased a Pass XA25 and shortly after an Aric Audio Transcend PP tube amplifier which I rotate in use with my Aric Audio 6SN7 based tube preamp.
Have an integrated amp with only 1 subwoofer out... Run one set of the L&R outputs from equalizer to the aux L&R inputs on integrated. Run sources to equalizer.
Use of Denafrips Iris 12th DDC with computer @soix My thoughts as well regarding future streamer purchase. Much would depend on the clock and output availability for that unit.
A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair. Again, I very much appreciate the feedback I have been given. I am in process of researching the speakers suggested. I find myself thinking that I initiated this post somewhat in haste and maybe should has given it more thought. I Currently have...
Use of Denafrips Iris 12th DDC with computer Thanks to all who have responded. Just to let everyone know, I did purchase the Iris DDC a couple weeks ago. It has made an improvement in the sonics I am getting from my living room system. Well worth the price paid (~$500) within the context of ...
A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair. Thanks to all who have responded so far. My thinking is that Sensitivity + Impedance + Phase angle = Efficiency. My understanding of these factors are not complete. The way I view this, sensitivity has much to do about how loud a speaker will ...
A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair. Well, I agree that 91dB is not that sensitive, however coupled with a flat 80hm speaker with a rather narrow phase angle makes for a pretty efficient speaker to my thinking. What I failed to do was describe my listening environment. Basically ...
A list of efficient speakers at ~$5K a pair. As a follow up, I should have stated approximately $5000.
Good preamp for under $300 There have been many good suggestions given herein. I purchased the B&K Pro 10 in 1985. Kept it for 25 years and sold it on AG for $225 I believe. A great budget preamp.
What is Moving From Solid State to Quicksilver Mid Monos Like? +! @decooney I would also add the obvious, that the outcome of any SS vs. tube amp comparison will be dependent on the speaker used. @fastcat95 What are the speakers under use?
Primare/ Vincent Adio /NAD /Rogue/ AVA /Hegel...- need a simple and reliable integrated @gano There is a like new Rega Elex integrated for sale on AG. It is up for $995, retail was ~$1700.
JAYS Audio transport upgrade? I purchased the CDT2MK3 from Todd based on cost. Also purchased a backup CDM4 drive. I have not heard the CDT3 so can't comment on the return on investment for the 2x cost. As others have stated above, I also found Todd to be great to deal with.
Line Magnetic 218a vs Leben CS600 -- am I insane? (aka when good beats great) Well it seems to me that the LM amp is a better pairing with your speakers for the presentation you prefer.
Primare/ Vincent Adio /NAD /Rogue/ AVA /Hegel...- need a simple and reliable integrated Not heard any of the new NAD products. |
