My New System

So far, it's just 2ch.  But it's an AWESOME 2ch set-up.  Couldn't be happier.  I've owned some nice systems in my day but this one takes the cake.  Outlaw, Klipsch etc.  Customer service from each was outstanding.  Can't say enough about Crutchfield.  They took all my cable returns (I was changing the set-up so had to buy new lengths and return the ones I didn't want).  In the end, I went with all XLR to the amps and sub.  Same thing for Customer Service from Anthem and NAD on best way to bi-amp and SVS for using the XLR port.  Part of setting up a system is knowing how each piece responds the best. So customer service counts.

Side note: As great as it sounds right now, I have not run the Anthem Room Calibration aka ARC.  We are getting drapes installed in front of the big window and I still need to put up the Sound Deadening panels.  According to the ARC instructions, any change to the room requires you to re-run the calibration so I will post my thoughts on that AFTER I run it and am satisfied it has done it's best. By then I should have 100+ hrs on the system and will have a good before/after comparison.

So....Here's what I ended up with after MONTHS of research and reading/watching reviews.  If you are in the market for a new system, I promise you, this combination works.  As long as you have $25k to spend plus what it costs to run the dedicated 20a line and cables thru the wall.

Anthem AVR70 8K / NAD C298 (x2) / KEF R11 Meta's (Bi-Amped) / SVS PB4000

Furman Elite w/ dedicated 20a line / Sony A9G / Sony BDP8000

AudioQuest cables

Run your ARC now, It only takes a few minutes, and I think you might be surprised what it does without the room treatments.

Congratulations! I is great when the results of a huge amount of research and investment works out.

What a great post. So nice to hear when someone worked at something and it came out successful.

Good positive review/experience.  Makes my day when others are as happy as I am with their systems

Congratulations!  🎈🎉🍾

I’m maybe there.  While I am mostly happy with my system,  the lack of local hifi shops and the abundance of new and improved products sometimes nags at me. For now, I have my forever sources, amps and speakers, but I would love to hear some other preamps and DAC’s in my system. I could live with the preamp I have, but something keeps me wanting to hear different DAC’s.

I’m close and I’ll let you know when I’m there.

Congratulations, what a beautiful and thoughtful system you put together.  I hope you have many years of musical pleasure.

Congratulations.. now time to enjoy it. as others have said, run the ARC before you settle down.
