Has anyone tried these stunning new CPT power cord?
Considering the many, many brands of power cords I've tried in my very well accomplished high-end system, I have never been so impacted by these Core Power Technology power cords. Within a very short period(15-20) minutes my system literally came alive. Soundstage opened wider and deeper. The background became dead silent, space between instruments and stage members were more focused and everything sounded cleaner and musical than ever. My highs had a glorious crispness and symbols shimmered. Midrange through my 2" horn became more dynamic and punchy. My 15" bass driver tightened and dug low with great control. My Rel G1 which is a fabulous sub on its own but with a CPT 150 on it is another story. Running high pass from my sub to my Audiozen Noah amplifier, music depth is just stunning. Lower end bass is authoritative and clean with solid grip and impact. My experience with these power cords is truly magical. The scary part of the above is I only have one 150 on my sub and one 300 from my wall to my 6 outlet bar. I still need 3 more to complete my system. I could just imagine the level after that...In closing, I cannot emphasize enough to try one of these in your system. I CANNOT and WIIL NOT take these out as they are that good. But hold your jaw, cuz what you've been listening to will just become real after Core Power Technologies.
It looks like he either deleted it or a moderator did. I didn't see anything wrong with it. I hope CAS went well!
That case of the guy that bought the Lyngdorf was an odd one. It sounds like the guy was impatient with the dealer he had previously ordered from. But why would you buy a new product from an unauthorized dealer?
It looks like pajjohnson has had some minor sales, so hopefully someone received a refund.
Now as you’ve noticed Mark is not reachable right now, if you read one of the other recent posts in this forum you will see that his health is not doing well right, and no offense but a mans health is more important than some speakers.
Any prospective buyers that may or may not exist may have gotten wind of the Audiogon postings and put a stop to them. I certainly would have in their position. Nothing left for Mark to say at this point anyway and if Kemper is in fact to be an employee of the new company then he needs to distance himself from the past as he was not actually involved in the business's operation or failure. My two cents.
Mark, Kemper, any updates on the status of CPT? 2 weeks ago Kemper/Mark posted that the sale"is about to close". I'm sure many people would be interested in their products/refunds.
What could he possibly buy from CPT for that much?
If I recall correctly, there were 2 CPT units and a Lyngdorf integrated amp. He posted his direct requests to Schyfter for refund and finally the Visa fraud refund request.
There was one poster on one of the 2 now hidden threads who had not been refunded on a CPT product or 2 and had also purchased a Lyngdorf from Schyfter. He had to file for fraud through his Visa. He was the one poster who had the perseverance to continue to post despite repeated deletions until enough posters had seen what he wrote and posted similar things.
Does anyone remember who that was? I recall that when I saw his post, Schyfter had taken between 8-10 thousand from him alone.
I find it very bizarre that I've read and heard from Power Core Technologies that they are giving refunds over at least the past six months yet I have not read a post here from people that I'm familiar with that they have ever received a refund. Mark, when is droleg going to receive his refund?
array1138....actually i did purchase the EquiCore 300 and still use it on my Lumin A1.My problem has nothing to do with the products but the person behind them and his less than professional way he went about promising delivery of products that he knew could not/would not happen. My guess is that most of the responders to those promises did not know his audio marketing history that preceded this shady endeavor.
Just received email response to my request for a refund on 7/2 from CPTStatus, my refund is "on the refund log". I'll update when i receive the refund.
klh007 - you have got to be the greatest salesman since P.T Barnum while at the same time being as honest as Joe Isuzu. You deserve everything that has happened to you and I now know what failure looks like. It takes a lot of work to be so self righteous and a victim all at once.
Might I make a suggest to all POWER CORD enthusiasts?
First of all, rip out all the internal wiring in your home, probably 12-2 or smaller Romex and replace it all with 10-2 fused at 20 amps and then replace all your outlets with good quality hospital grade outlets. Don't forget about your service panel as it probably needs to go also. There are good medical / commercial grade panels out there for the price of a nice used car.
After you spend the money to do all this you can forget about high dollar power cords as you will now be divorced or looking for a second mortgage.
Putting an expensive power cord on ANYTHING that will derive AC power from a typically wired home is no different than putting lipstick on a pig and calling it beautiful.
The sale of Core Power Tech LLC is about to Close. I am of course sorry this took the time that it did.
I have heard from several people about a post that was made by one of you that claimed I have 10’s of thousands of inventory and what about this for refunds.
Well, this is the entire purpose of selling this inventory before transfer. I’ve also sold off some camera and audio equipment that was mine purposely. I’ve made several shipments of 300’s to those that were happy too exchange their Deep Core early adopter dollars for these. I also started paying some of the refunds myself last week. I have paid several of these where people requested refunds instead of product. Most are waiting for Deep Core etc. – but those that wanted refunds I am doing (myself) up to the Close of the sale. Post sale close, the new owners will be doing this for us. They are just as vested as I am.
I paid some refunds last week. Sadly one refund did not clear my account as I took a Cashiers Check for 1980 dollars for my Leica Camera gear that was fraudulent. I apologize to the one person whose check did not clear (GJ) – that has been remedied in my bank account. I will continue to clear the refunds that have been requested and Bev at cptstatus is almost done with the verification process that the new owners requested. We are finally getting it all wrapped up.
My lawyer is a good guy but a few are about to find out what a bulldog he can be when false or misleading information is posted. Good luck to those that feel safe enough to say whatever they want. They probably think this is safe harbor given my own Scarlet Letter – well it’s not.
I have appreciated all of the e-mails and calls. I’ve invited a friend to come and visit me after my surgery for RMAF – he reads and posts here so he may chose to reply, or not. My point is last time I went through this people said some stuff that was just wrong. I DID have my surgery then just as I will now.
We will make it through this process and get on with life. The new owners are really good people and out in front will be Kemper Holt which most of you know. I hope for great days for us all…
@klh007 out of all the famous audiophile brands (and there are many of them) in the market, why would one try to copy an unknown brand ? I am just failing to understand this. After these posts, I searched ebay and its filled with power cords which looks similar. Again, I don’t see any problem with re-branding a chinese brand and there is nothing wrong with it. I was a victim of PS Audio AC-12 power cords (2m costs $1200) last year and those chords were originally bought from an authorized PSA dealer and yet they were counterfeits. Similar copycat exists for other famous brands, like Shunyata, etc but it doesn’t makes sense and neither its worth to copy an unknown brand.
Mark has asked me to post another message, this in relation to the W Audio power cord and others on eBay etc.; Dear Audiogon Members
I’ve had notes from several of you about our Super Stroke Cable and I took those notes and sent them to my long-time supplier and friend that makes this cable to my spec for us. Apparently, we have some copycat product out there. His reply is as follows –
Hi Mark
Sorry for late reply ,
But this cable it is not we sell to him
You can check the connector ,ours with CE Logo ,
But their without any CE logo ,
thanks .for further help please donot hesitate contact us ,
Best regards
Our cable is a very good performer and in our opinion a great value.
The Super Stroke is an inexpensive power cord, very neutral, natural sounding and does a nice job, especially for the price. @grannyring stick with our Furutech SO22N power cord or the Black Mamba V2 power cord. I'd recommend the Super Stroke for someone on a budget or just beginning in audio and wants to upgrade thier standard power cords and not break the bank.
Leaving apart the rebranding of a chinese power cord as super stroke from CPT, is this power cord any good ? Did anybody compare it to other quality PCs ?
lak3,181 posts06-15-2018 8:01am@amg56, FYI; the Super Stroke power cord was purchased in a bulk order of 500 by Mark from a company that manufactures them in China.
At this point CPT should have no problem sending the product first then the customer pays when happy. If Mark wants anyone to have faith in him he should have faith in his customers who put up with all this BS.
I thought I'd order a Super Stroke power cord just to try on my 1200 over the weekend. Turns out Mark bought 500 of the same cord listed on Amazon from China and passed it off as his product.
While I like mine there is no way I would order a product directly from Mark at this point in time. Even when they were in "regular production" it took me almost three months.
