Due to the incessant spam ads on this forum I'll stop contributing

@Tammy, please investigate the spam/ad popups which are getting out of control. So far I'm the annointed, looking for a partner, won multiple prizes, have gifts waiting at Walmart and all I have to do is click the little ok. No way to remove the rotary crap other than close Agon altogether. It's grating on my nerves.

My wife and I visited the Spam Museum in Minnesota while we were on our way to Rapid City, SD.  It was an eye opening experience.  I remember being served fried spam in the elementary school cafeteria back in the 50's.  Didn't like it then and wouldn't ever try it now.

The army makes the best spam. They also make the best SOS 🆘. 🤗
I use UBlock and don’t see any. It was recommended by the NYT and free. (However, there is a small chance that I am fictitious and that this is, in fact, some spam.)
It's interesting to see how many comments are made saying it's not agon issue. However since the issue is isolated to agon forum I disagree.  Agon has admitted their knowledge of this and has been working on a solution. I'm happy to report that they may have solved the problem as I have not experienced any pop ups in the last 2 days while perusing the threads. So far so good!  Hope the issue is solved.
Thank you Tammy and the IT team.
I dont think its Audiogon's fault for the pop ups? Or any other well know website you are visiting
Thanks.  The Audiogon forums are working okay on my iPhone and Spam popups are no longer appearing.
So here is an update for you guys.
We have been aware of this problem from day one.
Thanks to  all of you that have reported it.
As of today, we think we have it under control but may not know for a week or two. Please continue to report any spam to support@audiogon.com, attention: Tammy. Fingers crossed we have figured out the problem this time and fixed it. Really appreciate everyone that had to put up with  this.
@stereo5,  Please immediately report any Spam popups to Audiogon Customer Support to include a screen shot of the Spam popup.   This info helps Audiogon Developers to identify the source of the issue.

Audiogon needs to be told the issue still exists as you noted above.
I got spam off and on all day here ONLY when using my iPad and only on Audiogon.  With my main computer and ad blocker on, I do not get any.
@gillatgh, I agree this is an Audiogon issue that needs to be “solved” by Audiogon.  I also do not believe it is an individual’s browser or equipment that is causing the Spam popup.

I am hoping Audiogon has fixed the issue since I have had no Spam popups since 2:00pm today.  We will see what happens.

Please immediately report any Spam popups to Audiogon Customer Support to include a screen shot of the Spam popup.   This info helps Audiogon Developers to identify the source of the issue.
I would deduct that this crap happens only when I access Agon it's an Agon issue not an individual's equipment/browser issue. But I may be mistaken.
I was just on the Audiogon forums jumping around from post to post and there were no Spam popups.  I signed out and went back in and had no Spam popup related issues.

I am hoping Audiogon fixed the issue.  We will see what happens on Wednesday.

If you experience any more Spam popups, please send the details to Audiogon Customer Support to include a screen shot of the Spam popup.
I have Cox and the service is pretty bad, given the cost.  Currently our only other option is DSL but that won't always be the case. I have no issues with Walmart. Compared to Amazon, Walmart has better prices and in most cases faster shipping.

Interesting development, spam/ads only pop up when logged in to Agon. Also spam/ads take over and the Agon site is disconnected. Then the rolling popups start with no way to stop, not by back, no x in popups ad, only way is to exit the web and start from scratch.
Call representative in your district to pass a legislation for capital punishment for all ad sponsors and spammer.  Then I will find them whatever it takes.
