DIY- NeoTech at Parts Connexion

I just came across this cable.  Interesting geometry, some reminiscent of WireWorld construction. Comes in OCC and OFC varieties.

I've not heard it or used any of it.  I just thought I would share.  These could be my new projects. :)

Best,

Eric, it will be interesting to learn how they sound. It does look as though it would be a P-I-A to terminate.

Dan / @islandmandan ,

I use crimped copper sleeves, which then go into screw on terminals like WBT or Furutech.

I think maybe the big issue would be stripping the cable though. :) I have no idea how easy those rectangular cross section insulators come off.

Then it's just a matter of putting on the Techflex and shrink wrap on int he right order.
Interesting. I use their solid core OCC Teflon wire in my simple DIY speaker cables with good results.
However, I also tried Audio Sensibility OCC ICs and they were not as good as my center wire + /sheath - OFC ICs so not sure how these IC cables would compare. The flat configuration looks like it may work well. Termination might be difficult.

If you tried the Audio Sensibility copper mid/lower end interconnects, these use stranded copper conductors.  They aren't actually that good.  However, their top end Signature series uses solid-core pure silver and they are quite good for the money if you are looking for a silver interconnect cable.  It uses Furutech XLR terminations which have a heavy coating of gold and help compensate the silver to add a warmth to the sound.

But back to Erik's initial post, I find these new Neotech cables to be very interesting.  I have not worked with the Neotech rectangle conductors, but I agree with others that they would be a pain to terminate.  The performance could be quite excellent, but I've never tried them.
Seen 'em before. 87814 looks promising for balanced. Alas I need none and can't hardly solder anymore anyhow.
@erik_squires - take a look at this DIY option - lots of members like them :-)

I now use Solid Neotech UP-OCC copper wire on all my Helix cables and it is very good

I have the Neotech Sahara speaker wire and interconnects, all I can tell you is that they are much better than my harmonic Tech pro 9 gen 3 speaker wire which is round O C C wire and my magic ll interconnects which are OCC round copper and silver a lot more expensive but well worth it, better in every area.
