Coda or the Sanders. Either way you go, you are getting a world class audio component. Great companies. Sanders sound has a great warranty,... Check with Coda on their warranty.....

I am very happy with my purchase of the Coda No.16 amp. It sounds amazing and the best SS amp I’ve ever owned. I can also recommend the No.8 since I lived with it for a while.
Coda has been around since the mid 80s . In 2019 they upgraded the preamplifier section ,and well as the latest Jfet input stage for a even better integrated amp very quiet , sonicly very detailed ,dynamic and very natural sounding ,not quite as warm as Pass labs ,more neutral or honest itis not cool at all very smooth and very good low level detailed .with the 150-300wpc 1st watts 18+ I may be doing a fuse upgrade which would Be 2-16 amp T fuses on back which is a bit pricy and Synergetic research ,I was informed are coming out with a new fuse possibly a purple not positive on the color but no date set this year .I will-just wait on the fuses.vh audio sells fuse chip stickers from WA that do work they absorb vibration good for the 2 fuses ,in the preamp section I had swapped out the rel multicaps for the VH Audio Odam caps 1uf in the preamp output section ,matched to under .05% per pair. That makes this Excellent integrated ,noticeably better still,
The CODA website does have contact information and a dealer list. I called and talked to someone who seemed to be one of the principals on Monday (3/8/21). I'm guessing it was the above-mentioned Doug. He was very willing to answer all my questions at length and in detail. He did confirm that they have been having trouble getting parts delivered and are about 4 weeks behind on fulfilling orders. Planning to put in an order through my local dealer.
Someone recently posted that they are a month behind orders right now. I don't think they really care about the web site nor advertising.
I just sold my CODA CSiB yesterday and had 3 people ask me about buying it even before I posted an ad. The CODA gear is great. It was a coin flip decision as to which of the 2 integrated I own to sell. The CODA was the one to go.
I have 2 CSiB integrated both V1 with the first 18-20 watts in class A, 2 S100 amps 100 watts class A (discontinued) and a 07x preamp, all excellent. They are all excellent performers.
Yes the web site is on life support but they make and are making wonderful gear, call and talk to Doug, he is old school, no pressure just the truth.
I also own Pass gear that I owned before I got any Coda and would be happy with all Coda equipment.
They are working on some new class A amps that will be out soon. Infrequent on the used market.
How can you even get a hold of Coda to ask more info.? Some people rave about them, but their site is about as bare as it gets. No contact info, returns policy, prices, where to find a dealer, etc. Their $5 completely un-informative website doesn't give a customer a very good first impression. Anybody know more? Thanks for your time.
I have owned 3 Coda amps, 2 preamps, and a phono preamp. Coda is anything BUT neutral, or cool sounding.
Yes, Coda was started in the late 80’s by 3 ex-Threshold engineers, and sonically they sound similar to the Threshold and Pass Labs amps that I’ve also owned. I don’t think anyone will say that Threshold or Pass Labs amps sound cool/neutral, and I would say the same of Coda.
To me, the Coda sound is rich, vibrant, full-bodied, with tight, powerful bass. Also, yes, Coda does design and build amps for other companies like Innersound, Legacy, and Sanders too.
Coda dealer here, the Coda amps are extraordinary for the money.
They have great bass control, a huge sound stage, and are tranparent with a hint of warmth.
One of our favorite products, extremely well built and very reasonably priced.
The CSIB is a $6,000.00 400 watt integrated amplifier with the first 5 watts being class A, you can order one with 200 watts of power and 20 watts Class A, built like a tank One of the greatest buys in audio.
The Coda stuff out in the past 5 years or so is anything but cool... I'd say very neutral, but it leans warm... I've heard: Unison 3.1 Integrated Coda CL, CP, 07X Preamps 15.0, 15.5, CS Amplifiers There certainly is a flavor that shows their Threshold heritage... Erik & Doug were a big part of the Threshold design team before Nelson sold. They also produced Innersound amps and now Sanders Amps... All have a great reputation.
Well, when I say you really need to listen to it, I say so neutrally.
While it was robust, I found the amp QUITE cool sounding. More blue than red. Kind of how I felt about older Krell equipment.
It was also a lot finer and more delicate across the mid to treble compared to say, early MOSFET's of the 1980's. When I heard the InnerSound ESL amplifier, it was moving in the direction of what I am calling the "modern amplifier sound" but, I don't know how to actually say it, I found the presentation rather stark.
I believe the designers are Threshold alumni. Sander's Magtech amplifiers are built by them, with significant enhancements and spec changes here and there to improve ESL performance and power supply stability.
I would say you absolutely should listen to them. My impression is they are quite cool sounding, closer to early Krell in sound quality, but I haven't listened to them in a decade.
