Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.
But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.
I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.
I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed! I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.
I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.
So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.
I did borrowed Markr CT speaker cable to see if , it will match my system, like Ozzy I have Andra 1, and it did match my system, yes Bob cable did put my system on, onother level, I ordered 8ft yesterday...
Ozzy it was very hard to disconnect the CT, I just knew it's perfect for my Andra. This is the cable that compression is non existence, extension is just right. Listening is effortless....
Bob thanks out of the box speaker cables already sound very very good, thanks again, Any Andra owner should try Bobs cable, they match welll, decay, extension, naturality, palpability, and 3D is awsome, this cable replaced my Audioquest Sterling , my feeling they will alternate, CT will get spend more time....over this rotation....this are amazing speaker cables....
Respected ent there is a well balance review on Stereo times, auudiocircle talks about them after that review, iam not sure if they are on the same level as CT cables, TWL on my search shows they have good power cords, again the only way to know is to connect them with your system...I believe they are worthy to be audition for their price, I just received my CT speaker cable Friday . It's sounds so musical already, after burn in on my xlo cd burn in, I would say it's 80% burn in at this time....
@respected_ent I don't have experience with Triode Wire Labs' speaker cables, but I recently purchased TWL's Power Cords. The results have been fantastic (clearly beat my previous mix of power cords, and this was apparent within seconds of adding them into the system). I'm bringing two more into my system to complete the power cable loom.
Pete was a true pleasure to work with and in his assistance and ongoing support. He offers a 30 day trial period, so there's really no downside regarding comparing them to the CTs, etc.
All the best with your decisions and final choice.
I've got to throw out a thank you to Ozzy. You saved me time and agony in the cable search! I rarely take opinions too seriously in the audio universe (without trying everything myself) but your observations on cables are shared by many. You've changed my direction with your original CT post. I ordered the CT speaker cables and HF CT-1's today. I'm also going to change some old interconnects on my home theatre system to the CT's - the price on those is a steal!
Teo audio is lucky as well , for the post Of Bugredmachine....Excellent posting from Alpass with High Fidelity cables...very sure Rick thank him also...
Sorry guys no Russian collusion. I did get a discount on my next purchase however. I guess I should have asked for a part of the company...
I really wanted to try the TEO cable but weeks went by without a word. Then I posted that on the TEO thread and the owner sent me back my money. I really did want to try it though, but too bad its not available in a balanced (XLR) configuration.
I have been following Graphine for some time and I am not sure what specific material they claim is "graphine" as, currently it is only manufactured in limited quantities. Using it as suggested, it would be cost prohibited. Make no mistake, Graphine is going to change all our lives and significantly over the next 20 years. The market is close, but is moving slowly...
These cables got very dull after about 3 days of settling down when I tried them. So that might be a good thing for you if you find them a little bright. I actually prefer them at the beginning stages of burn in. Still a good cable that I do recommend to people here and there.
Its nice to see this thread continue. The Cerious Technologies Graphene extreme cables really are the best bang for the buck. The speaker cables are as good as any speaker cables regardless of price. In my humble opinion of course. ozzy
I've had my CTE umbilical cord for 2 months now and I'm telling you that are going to be Amazed! Have owned maybe 5 umbilical cord over the past 3 years and in my system nothing comes close to the CTE...
Thanks all for the great thread and a special thanks to Ozzy :-)
Did anybody compare the HFC Reveal with the CT GE ? Though they are in a different price point, I am thinking what is the upgrade over the GE if there exist one in a reasonable price range :-)
@debjit_g; In this thread a few people compaired the Blue CT GE Blue power cord to the HF CT-1 power cord and the Blue power cord held it's own against the more expensive HF CT-1. I have not heard the HF Reveal power cord and to the best of my knowledge I do not remember reading any comments of a compairson of the HF Reveal power cord to the HF CT-1 or the CT GE Blue power cord.
I have a Reveal XLR from DAC to Preamp and CT from Preamp to Amp. Speaker cables/jumpers are CT as well. The combination sounds very synergistic. Wondering if there is cumulative benefit in replacing the CT with Reveal IC. Any thoughts on this ?
On the CT power cord side, I would like to know if anybody is using the CT GE Blue with any of the Hypex NC500 based amp and how does it perform ?
In my main system, I have HFC (CT-1, U and UR) interconnects, speaker cables and power cords however I've never heard the Reveal line. I would suggest you phone HFC and talk to Casey. He is very knowledgeable and he will give you an honest answer regarding the sound of HFC vs. Reveal. I believe there is a trial period with the Reveal products. If you don't care for them you could return it. Double check that with Casey also.
I feel that the HF Reveal is a step up from the HF Ultimate series interconnects. Newer design, better sound, cheaper prices. And yes, I believe there is a synergy with using the HF Reveal interconnects with the CT Speaker cables. Also, with my CT power cords I am also using HF MC-.05’s at the outlets. Again some pretty good synergy. ozzy
@lak - thanks. yes, I am in touch with Casey. Great guy to work with.
@ozzy - I have Reveal on one leg (dac to pre) and GE on the other (pre to amp). Do you think I should complete the XLR loom with the Reveal, replacing the CT ?
I am using the MC-0.5 as well. I have the Lows orange 3 outlet extender - two of them holds the 0.5s and one goes to the power amp. I have to try the CT blue power cords of the amps. Do you know how they compare to others, like PS Audio AC-12 or the TWL ?
Yes, as much as I think the CT interconnects are a fantastic value, I did find the Reveals add more snap to image quality. Especially, if using the CT speaker and power cords.
