Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables

Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.

But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.

I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.

I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed!  I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.

I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.

So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.

Does anyone who has tried the Graphene Extreme ICs also have experience with Crimson Music Link ICs? I have the Crimsons and am pretty happy with them. They are both neutral AND musically involving. I am intrigued by the GEs, though. Especially at a price where I can afford to try them.

I want to try the GE cables. Which do you think will give me the most bang for my buck? A PC for the Tara Labs Powerscreen all my components are plugged into? Digital cable from CD Transport to DAC? A pair of ICs? I need a biwire pair of SCs, so they are out of my budget, for now.

Just ordered a low current (RED) PC for my CEC TL-5 CD Transport, and an XLR digital cable. Can’t wait to get them! I heard a substantial improvement when I swapped an SR black fuse for the stock one in the transport. I have high hopes that the GE PC will take it even further. It will be interesting to see how the digital cable compares to the Tara Labs ISM The One Digital I bought in 2001. Even back then, the Tara cost almost five times as much.

They should be shipping this week. I am really looking forward to hearing what the digital and power cables do in my system.
What’s the break-in like on the GE digital cables? I got my cables in, and put the digital in my system first. It shows a lot of promise right off the bat. I’m just wondering what to expect break-in wise?

"I feel with the CT there is a more realistic sound or perhaps less coloration. The sound stage is bigger and deeper and none of these changes are subtle. Most importantly I am enjoying the music more."

This is a good description of what I am experiencing with the digital cable. The sound is more relaxed, more "analog-like", if you will. The subtleties of the music come through clearer, making it easier to connect with the emotion and message.

Wow! The GE digital cable, at $200, has got to be one of the biggest bargains in high end audio. If I had paid $1000+, I would still consider it "worth it" for the improvements I am hearing.

The red PC on my DAC has finally broken in fully. Wow! The life and energy I'm hearing in the music is wonderful.

I am now a certified GE cable addict. Just ordered a blue PC for my amp.

I can stop any time I want...

Blue PC is plugged into my amp and sounding really good right off the bat. Looking forward to when it is fully broken in.

All set with PCs & digital, ICs & SCs are next, as funds permit.

The blue PC on my amp is broken in, and my system sounds amazing. Definitely getting into "spooky real" territory.
Just got a pair of GE ICs yesterday. Based on what some have posted here about the ICs, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I was hoping they’d be an improvement, but maybe not as dramatic a one as the digital cable and PCs.

I put them between my DAC and passive pre. Wow! I think they are still burning in, but they have already far surpassed the ICs they replaced (Crimson Audio). The "realness" of voices & instruments is almost scary, and I’m getting a much better sense of the air and space around them. If they get better with more break-in time, I’m going to be one happy camper.
The Blue is the High Current version for amplifiers. The Red is Low Current, for DAC, preamp etc. There is also a Yellow, for use with power conditioners. If you’re unsure which one to use for a particular component, email Bob. He is very responsive & helpful.

I have Reds on my CD transport & DAC, and a Blue for my amp. I hear benefits very similar to what jas described. I would say the overall improvement in clarity and engagement includes a "sweeter" midrange.

I am positive Bob knows about photons. He used electrons because he was not writing a scientific paper, but trying to make something very complex understandable to an audience that is mostly laymen.

geofkait,

It may not have been your intention at all, but your response to Bob's post did come off as pretty insensitive.

Charles,

I can't make any comparison to your current PCs, but the blue sounds amazing with my ASL Tulip SET. I just swapped out my old Emission Labs mesh plate 45s for a new pair of their 2A3 mesh. I thought I might lose some of that 45 "magic", but the magic is still there, along with a little more authority & headroom.
Just ordered my last set of ICs. Speaker cables are next, to complete the loom. I need a bi-wire pair, so it's going to take a while to save up for them ☹️

Talking about graphene, has anyone tried this contact enhancer?

If not, does anyone want to be the guinea pig and report back? 😉

Interesting. Bob has talked about not moving the PCs because of the special vibration damping ceramics. In that case, he said they take about a week to reset after being moved. Are you saying this applies to the ICs, SCs and digital, as well?
I have a CT GE AES/EBU digital cable. It is a great value for the money. It handily beat my previous Tara Labs cable that cost five times as much.
