AXPONA AND SWAF SOUTHWEST AUDIO FEST WHO IS GOING? Would love to meet yall!

I'd like to see AXPONA's new venue, But Illinois is just too much to deal with (I do like paying $10 for a bottle of water (pre inflation), however).

When at Axpona be sure to check out Studio Electric speakers.   I just received their M4 monitor and they are phenomenal !  So good.     It is a compact 2 way acoustic suspension/ sealed box that has a 6.5 woofer and soft dome tweeter.  Amazing bass quality and quantity.  

They may be the best sounding speaker I have ever owned.   My last two way bookshelf / monitor was the Revel M106 and the M4 is a much better speaker in my opinion.   It's the first speaker in a long time that I really connected with after just a few songs. .   It just sounds so right and big for a small speaker.  They also have a larger 3 way and a floor standing model.     Visit their booth.    

Such a typical American lack of replies. No one wants to meet up. I’ve the same story with my BFFs. I suppose the thought of being saddled all day with a clingy old guy babbling incessantly about their tube rolling endeavors might not be worth the risk.

I've gone every year since they started again after COVID. This will be my 4th trip in a row to AXPONA. Hoping to find some new speakers on this trip.

@dweller You get free water at your hotel and bring the bottle to the show. No need to pay $10/bottle for water. There is no dealing with Illinois. I get off the plane at the airport and take an Uber to my hotel next to the show for 3 days. What's to deal with? Also, what new Venue are you talking about? It's been the same for 4 years with maybe the exception of them slowing trying to integrate car audio. Obviously, the live music is different every time.

@willywonka The first notice I received said "AXPONA located at the Schaumburg  Convention Center". It didn't say "Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center.". My feeble old brain assumed the show was in a new venue.

Also, I live in Indianapolis (where AXPONA should be) and drive to the show. I got burned six-ways-from-Sunday the last time and don't want to go through it again. The Renaissance is not a good place for a show this big (IMO).

@oddiofyl I stopped by the Studio Electric room last year at AXPONA and was very impressed particularly by their M5 speakers IIRC.

Will see you folks at Axpona.  Nice if we could put our username on our badges.  Perhaps write it in. 

Bill good idea. Maybe I will put Jayctoy on my badge see what happen. Last year I even invited Skhong78 to my house for a listen. I live 4o minutes from the venue. He did not make the trip. This year Iam busy.So I can’t invite.

jc4659,  The Studio Electric M4 are such a great speaker, I can only imagine how good the M5 and FSX are….  
 

About a month in with the M4 and they are so good it’s silly. I have spent some serious time listening and they are really amazing for such a small speaker.   Definitely a hidden gem.   Love them.
