Sat front row at the symphony... @frogman ....+1..... the " playing " of the instruments, through the conductor's direction, is why I attend performances. I listen for the playing, through my rig, as well. My best. MrD
Why are these called 5 way binding posts? I count four! It was explained to me many years ago by an amp manufacturer, whom I forget, because you were able to use a spade ( or loop/hole ) to the shaft, and a banana plug, simultaneously........Is this true ? I am only repeating what I heard. MrD.
Sat front row at the symphony... @viber6 , my friend.....as always, your personal listening experiences are yours, and that is all....yours. Your system, as good as you feel it is, would not satisfy me, the way my system satisfies me, as I look for and appreciate other important ...
Sat front row at the symphony... If we go back to the start of the thread and read the original post by mikeydee, I believe the statement was all about the enjoyment, and the " impact " the experience made to him. We come to the argument that the best seat in the house is at the ...

IcePower1200AS: Who has heard or has them, with what system components? Do you love them? @tweak1...I tried a Warp One ( purchased new from Underwood ), and I was quite disappointed with it. A buddy of mine purchased one, and he loves it.
Sat front row at the symphony... @mikeydee , " He used dynamics in his band ". AB & the JMs must have been a wonderful experience as well. Every live, unamplified performance of any kind of music I experienced, showed an amazing amount of dynamics, which has not been duplicat...

Sat front row at the symphony... My understanding of symphony halls is that the conductor needs to visually communicate with the orchestra, and this is the primary reason why the podium is positioned where it is on the stage. Sound at the podium is secondary, although important, ...

We should reject hard-to-drive speakers more often I have been around the block with Apogee speakers back in the day, including the Scintilla ( I actually owned, for a year, the Duettas ). My question was, as stated, " adequately " drive? I am not fond of tube amps ( low / poor damping factor ), w...
We should reject hard-to-drive speakers more often Ralph, so the answer is = none. My best, MrD.
What can beat Wilson XVX for less money? Any listener, not caring about what the musician ( s ) intended, tells me all I need to know about the listener. Good luck with that, and Enjoy ! MrD.
We should reject hard-to-drive speakers more often What tube amps ( tubes used in the output stage ) can " adequately " drive 1 ohm Scintillas ? I am not aware of any, and would like to know, so I may sleep better tonight. My best, MrD.
Volti Experience ! @riaa_award_collectors_on_facebook I do not speak to viber, as I assume he has jumped on the Jay wagon, which is the furthest of any group I would jump in on. I am enjoying my LSs. Enjoy, and always, my best. MrD. |
